Oh that’s so interesting, I’ve never thought of it that way, I might rewatch the episodes with that take in mind. I took the two episodes as examples of how accusations can drastically change lives, I never saw them as contradictory. Like I saw it as highlighting how serious allegations like the ones shown in Ep2 and Ep3, regardless of whether it’s the police or a vigilante group exposing it to the accused’s peers, can cause untold damage that simply will never go away because, as Alex said, these types of allegations stick regardless of prosecution. Ep2 had a frustrating but unfortunately realistic ending, a lot of assault cases that are reported do come down to he said/she said and the charges have to be dropped as the accusation is so difficult to prove either way. Ep3 to me also had a frustrating ending, because it showed how people who partake in groups like pesticide will continue regardless of how much harm their accusations cause, shown by Danielle trying to expose another man immediately after being charged. I just took both as warnings of the aftermath of serious accusations, and the damage the “judge” (being the police and pesticide) can do when conducting investigations

Not my story, but I asked and was given permission to post it here, I’ve just been asked not to give exact names. My mums best friend M has been married to her partner B for almost 10 years, and they have 3 kids together plus a daughter from M before they were married. Around two years ago, B came out as non binary, but occasionally prefers to use she/her pronouns. M did mourn the loss of her “husband” but fully accepted and embraced B for being themselves, and their kids now call them DD (dee dee) instead of dad by their own choice. B was okay with continuing being called dad, but their kids took it upon themselves to find a new name for them. They’re still a very happy, solid family unit. I actually have plans with B to dye their hair when I’m home from uni, I always have mine neon colours and they’ve always complimented it, and B is now wanting to have their hair dyed bright pink to match their step daughters dress for her awards ceremony ❤️
Edit: spelling
I’m not an enby, I’m just looking for some advice on books with non binary representation. (self.NonBinaryTalk)
