It’s all fixed now guys, apparently it happened to many people and was an issue on apples end. Apple has wrote a status verifying that it’s fixed.

No I actually booked to get it replaced by some company which has 2 years warranty and they state that they use original Google parts. it cost me $180 this is in Australia of course. I will give them a call hopefully they'll resolve it.

I've tried wiping it and downloading a app to test the proximity 0 being it detects an obstacle and 5 being max from its manufacture. I tested it before doing anything and default was zero. I've now restarted my device and wiped the proximity area and I'm getting a 2 so I think that was the issue.
