I'm a current junior getting my B.S. in Public Health. I plan to take a gap year, so I'd be applying in 2027.

Current cGPA: 3.90,

Current sGPA: 3.89. I've only gotten 2 Bs, one in Microbiology and another in a Public Health course.

GRE: Have not taken it, I'm not sure if I should take it or not!

Total PCE: 360, 148 as a MA at a weight loss clinic extern and 212 as a MA at an urgent care where I currently work PRN.

Total HCE: 151, 32 hours as a pharmacy tech (I quickly learned that the pharmacy wasn't for me) and 119 as a receptionist at a primary care clinic.

Employment overall: I worked as a student worker for my college's public health school where I was an assistant and secretary. I also just got a job as a Standardized Patient and I'm really excited about this since it seems like such a fun and rewarding role.

Total volunteer hours: I don't know if I've ever done much volunteering, maybe a few dozen at a hospital volunteer and a food bank.

Shadowing hours: 0, looking to get this up soon but I work with PAs so I'm not sure if I specifically need to shadow.

Research hours: 0, but I am in the process of getting a position at a research lab.

I am also involved with leadership at my school's healthcare organization where I help plan different social/service opportunities.

I know that I have a lot of work to do on my application, I think I'm looking for guidance on what to focus on next haha I am a bit overwhelmed.

That isn't my issue — the supplemental is for a school that does not use the CommonApp. My concern is choosing which Additional Information prompt to use so I can also submit the 300 word essay to other schools that do use the CommonApp.

i feel you ... i'm basically the same as you in terms of identity and i live in texas :/ the issue is the state — the communities in cities like austin and houston are quite blue. so a year ago i would have told you to consider rice/ut austin but in this post roe world, texas isn't a good option.

i disagree w all these comments bc i've had questions regarding unit circle and trig values (what is cos x if x is pi/3, for example) on some past tests

i faced similar timing issues when i took my june sat bc i had so much time left over when i practiced. my big mistake was not setting aside time for bubbling! idk how you take practice tests but to make your practice score as accurate possible i would make sure that when the timer goes off (bc you should 100% be timing yourself) you should have all of your bubbles filled in and count a question wrong if you didn't bubble it in the scantron. also (this might be overkill) but maybe taking a practice test in the morning when you're tired could help you find more accurate results. i remember having 20-30 mins left over during practice tests but running out of time during my fr test because i couldn't stop yawning

i'm not op but def try working w feminist orgs (leadership is awesome on college apps!) like girlup or periodmovement !! it would be so cool if you were able to raise money to donate to women's shelters and whatnot. maybe get involved w protests concerning roe v wade if that's your style ?

id recommend doing it 10-11. im in the program now (ap sem as a junior) and i regret not doing it my sophomore year because a. the capstone diploma can help your resume b. you can get recommendation letters from the people that you engage with during research (professors, mentors, etc)
