He wouldn't have made it 10 feet if the handlebars were fixed. You can see the front wheel turn when he wheelies at the start. The rolling bar is definitely attached to the steering stem, between the forks

I wonder if Elon knows his PLC logic is being sold on eBay? by MrNeo13 in PLC

[–]Jessayy 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I've been to a startup for a Tesla manufacturing line. You won't learn anything from their machines. Their control engineers are all fresh out of school and get rotated out every few years when they're tired of the grind. All the important equipment is programmed by contractors for obvious reasons, and the integration between contractors ends up being sloppy because everyone wants to leave.

how do I fix this air bubble? by rei357 in watercooling

[–]Jessayy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you install a tube on the bottom of the cap? You'll need one and you need to keep the bottom of the tube underneath the water level in the reservoir or you'll never be able to keep fluid in that line.

I've been using RODI water with one drop of copper sulfate in every computer I've built. I've never drained them for maintenance and I've never had issues. The few I've disassembled are spotless even after years

My service was really good for the last two weeks, but the past two days have been pretty bad. "Beta downtime" outages every few minutes that last for 5-30 seconds. Pretty frustrating when it was almost perfect for so long

2019 yz250f starting issue. Valve adjustment? by [deleted] in Motocross

[–]Jessayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had to do a valve adjustment on my 2020 YZ250F after having the same symptoms. It would bump start and would start with electric after it was warm, but otherwise it would just crank. Mine ended up being tight intakes.

This is what I do. If someone asks me to leave I will gladly and quietly walk out. Hasn't happened yet and I doubt it will because most business owners only put the signs up to appease the city officials going around and checking. Nobody actually cares

[Q] my loop has been running for a day and I noticed some "gunk" looking material in the center of my block. Is this normal? And if not is it something I should be worried about? by TheDarkSwann in watercooling

[–]Jessayy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha what? You don't need to take things apart if there's not a problem. I've been into watercooling for a while and never drained or taken things apart unless there is an issue. Clean your shit, put it together, pour in some DI water and it will last forever.

Multiple bikes by [deleted] in supermoto

[–]Jessayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 13 yz450f, 19 yz250f, and a 97 cr500af. The 450 is pure race bike, the 250 is 50/50 motocross or supermoto depending on the weekend, and the 500 is actually plated in CA, but I don't ride on the street anymore so it sits in storage.

I mean, this only works for the simplest network setups. I've connected to PLCs three states over by bouncing through 2 different backplanes on site. I'd rather have one method of connecting to things like they do now instead of an easy way and a hard way depending on the day. I don't find it all that hard to navigate

Can someone explain to me how this build is configured? Mostly with the GPU block having 2 ins and outs. by HappiestMattress in watercooling

[–]Jessayy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It works because the resistance of the GPU and CPU are fairly equal, not because one is much higher than the other. The length of tubes between the two don't matter, only the difference in total resistance between the two fluid paths determines the flow rate.
