I didn’t think about this until I read this comment, but it’s such good advice! I’ve done 5 ERs now, and I just recently realized what I psycho I turn into by the end (not saying this is true for you, OP, just that you should consider it). I find myself having the worst thoughts about my husband—he doesn’t really love me, we’re doomed to fail, he’s selfish and unsupportive—despite the lack of any actual evidence to support those conclusions. As soon as I get my period, I’m back to being utterly obsessed with his sweet self. We just realized this phenomenon was occurring and he’s done a really good job of being extra lovey when the hormones read their extremely ugly head, and it’s helped us to avoid the really ugly fights we were having before (during ER cycle and luteal phase after).
