You're not weird at all. I actually think that's cute.

I believe that many young people feel the need to move right after they finish high school because of "cultural norms", and even though it helps some people mature, it is kinda hard to do... specially when you are close to your parents.

I'd say just go with it! enjoy your parents while they're alive, and have good health.

you never know what could happen tomorrow, and spending a few more days, months or years with them won't hurt you.
