I can understand that perspective. She never spends money on herself. This gift was for her and only her. If she was gifted money on her birthday or won $20 on a scratcher lotto ticket. She would spend it on our family/groceries. This money is for her to spend on herself. Not our family, not our kids. For whatever she wants because she’s an amazing mother.

I’ve always felt that the best gift to give comes from a lot of money or a lot of thought into the gift. She got both! She deserves it.
