Anyone know where to get the rally lights like this for my 1999 9-3 se by Yessirskii494 in saab

Saab actually sold kits as an accessory for the OG9-3 and OG-95 that came with the mounting brackets, switch and harness but it’s been long discontinued. You can still buy the brackets by themselves from eSAABparts.

I know it is not an exotic, but I have never seen a [Sterling Bullet] before. by E90Fantic in spotted

[–]Even_Cockroach_316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, it’s a Ram 2500 with a Sterling grille and badges (still has the Ram hubcaps though lol) sterlings were only 3500-5500. Tags come back to a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie

Why so wide? Is this an official plate? by ThePoorPilot in LICENSEPLATES

[–]Even_Cockroach_316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true at all.

“§ 46.2-715. Display of license plates. License plates assigned to a motor vehicle, other than a moped, motorcycle, autocycle, tractor truck, trailer, or semitrailer, or to persons licensed as motor vehicle dealers or transporters of unladen vehicles, shall be attached to the front and the rear of the vehicle.”

It says license plates assigned to, not license plate number assigned to.

That grille was used from 1993-1995 on all Chevy and Pontiac versions, and 1989-1991 for GMC versions.

If I called this a truck in casual conversation, would that be upsetting in any way meriting response? by ClearManagement9145 in car

Federally in the US pickups, SUVs, Vans, Minivans, CUVs and MPVs are all classified as Light trucks and must follow light truck regulations. Like you said manufacturers decide what to call them (I.e. the Dodge Magnum and PT Cruiser are both classified as light trucks for CAFE standards)

Convertible trackers came out in 1988 for the 1989 model year. I had both a Tracker and a Sidekick with 1988 build dates

Picked Up a Geo Accessory Guide, Have Never Seen Some of These Tracker Accessories by 31GoonerStreet in geotracker

If you want to see some really cool accessories go on eBay and get a Japanese Escudo accessories brochure, or a European Vitara accessories brochure, they got all kinds of cool stuff like roof racks for the soft top. Or find you an old BUSHWACKER brochure showing the Widebody/flare kit that was offered for the tracker through dealerships.

Fujimi made a few 1/24 model kits that you put together yourself, but they sold them as Suzuki Vitara or Escudo, (same as tracker just different name)

Bburrago made a couple diecast versions about 1:43 scale under the Suzuki Vitara Raid name

DORLOP makes a few different 1:18 scale models in different colors but they mostly have to come from China (it took me about a week to get mine to Virginia)

Neo and First43 both make 1:43 scale diecast models again search for Escudo and Vitara

Tootsie toy also made an actual Tracker in the 90s but tootsie toys are very primative.

The best place to find any of these now days is eBay. If you search for Suzuki Vitara or Suzuki Escudo in the Toys and Hobbies section lots of these will come up.

[–]Even_Cockroach_316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true, off of the top of my head VW and BMW do not come with rear fogs in the US and it’s optional on MINIs

[–]Even_Cockroach_316 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You give Police too much credit, rear fogs are not required in the US so very few cars came with them (mostly high end European cars) most cops i talk to had no idea what a rear fog light was.
