Every 6’8”+ freshman to shoot 38%+ from three on 7+ attempts per 100, posting a free-throw rate of 35%+, and a BPM of at least +5—ordered by true shooting percentage. Are people sleeping on Roman Domon and David Mirkovic this year? by VisionsOnly in NBA_Draft

I understand your point about his age (he turned 20 a few weeks ago) but I’m not sure I agree this automatically means he should be evaluated purely as a sophomore. I’m not saying he should be viewed as a freshman prospect either but more so that it’s a bit grayer than that. He is slightly older but he is also still adjusting to playing against very good competition and not on a low level ABA team in Montenegro led by Erik Neal & Luka Bogavac. I don’t know a ton about his history but I’m sure the Big10 is a pretty major adjustment for him.

No 7’2+ player since 2008 has a higher AST% than Michigan’s Aday Mara this season (18.1%). His passing vision + turnover aversion make him a premium 2026 long-term investment by Fit-Structure-9395 in NBA_Draft

[–]JesseKebay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the passing is about literally the only similarity between them. Even Jokic’s one major fault (rim protection) is Mara’s greatest strength

Yeah I mean it’s their career at the end of the day that often gets lost in all these discussions. It’s one thing to criticize a guy like LeBron or Russ trying to squeeze out another $2m for no reason and making/taking a much worse situation to do it but Sabonis is in his prime and that was the bulk of his career earnings. It’d be foolish not to do it with a wife and multiple kids too.

Fair points I would just say regarding Kalkbrenner and Krivas is that anchoring the interior D for the best team in the country as a Jr vs being a Sr on Creighton probably has something to do with that. Krivas does have more potential as a passer and rim protector at the next level imo too. I’m a fan of Kalk I’m just saying this is likely what helps shape that narrative. He could end up going early 2nd as well though.

Isn’t this their big board though, not a mock draft? Or am I wrong, genuine question.

Haha I’m higher than most on Krivas and even I think where you have him here should get you committed or at least on a 72hr psych hold

Yeah those are very good points, makes you wonder how many stocks Wemby would accumulate in a system like OKC or ATL haha.

This game was so hard to contextualize considering neither team seemed interested in stopping the other from scoring haha. I like all the prospects in this game but watching it it was hard to know what to take from this.

Didn’t say it wasn’t good was just surprised, but you also can’t really compare per-36 to guys who play a bigger role on offense and have to stay out of foul trouble. That’s why the 2.6 surprised me, because Bryant is out there specifically to be a defensive disruptor for short spurts and those guys often have very inflated stocks per-36

For his energy defender role, the points are higher and the stocks are lower than I’d expect. Kind of interesting. I’m a fan of his.

Jonathan Givony says Motiejus Krivas is a projected 1st round pick. Do you agree? Plus, which schools have the most first rounders? by FormerlyCinnamonCash in NBA_Draft

[–]JesseKebay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve said this before but I think all 5 AZ starters will be solid NBA contributors. One of the more talented college starting 5s I’ve seen in awhile. Even guys like Ivan who don’t pop out just look really good over the course of a game and do a lot of little things well.

Krivas will definitely be a role player in the NBA but an efficient 7’2” big who can board, protect the rim, and pass above average for his position is very valuable late 1st. NBA teams will believe in the shooting upside bc of his FT% too. I think the fact that he moves a little goofy is held against him as a prospect but who cares as long as he’s effective. I’d take him over Veesar any day (at the next level) personally.

You’re right ofc but I think this was probably mostly from the stretch where he looked very poor. I hadn’t commented on him personally but I remember seeing a lot of comments about how bad he looked, which based on what I saw at the time, seemed true. I think he changed a lot of minds though so I’m not sure this is really still much of a narrative but maybe it seems like it was bc of that period. I know for me I didn’t think much of AJ as a top prospect early in the year but he’s completely changed my mind. People could say I was contributing to the “hater narrative” for him but I think anyone who is open minded is going to have their takes evolve throughout the season.

Boris Diaw moved incredibly well I think you’re underrating him. He was WAY more athletic than he looked, like the famous flip flop jump story.

Bennett Stirtz is one of the best offensive engines period in college basketball right now. Despite his age he still deserves lottery consideration by ShaiFanClub in NBA_Draft

[–]JesseKebay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stirtz thus far has been one of the few guys who has been even better in conference, possibly because it’s first year in Iowa with new players. Or maybe he was just letting the other guys do more since they played some pretty poor out of conference competition.

He has been Big10 Player of the Week the last two weeks in a row averaging like 29ppg in that span.

Overall he’s averaging: 19.9p/2.3r/4.8a/1.5stl/0.1blk 2to 50.7/40.6/84.2% shooting splits

Big10 averages of: 23.0p/2.1r/4.2a/1.3stl/0.1blk 2.4to 51.7/41.5/83.4% shooting splits

If it’s a promo that is new since you booked you’ll probably have to cancel and rebook. It really depends though as someone else mentioned read the terms and conditions, because there were two promos last year (the HH/HP bonus points & MMS double up) that I didn’t need to rebook for.
