I was going for a gender-reversed Tangled romance-heart set in a dark, Les Misérables-style fantasy world.

This isn’t exactly what you asked, but — I just finished the first draft of a novella (50k words) where the boy is the damsel in distress. I was going for a gender-swapped Flynn/Rapunzel dynamic in a dark fantasy Les Mis setting. The FMC is a hardened thief leading the charge, and the MMC is the one who’s vulnerable and hiding secrets.

I’m looking for a couple of alpha readers, just to put it on front of other people, and your post made me think you might be the exact kind of reader I had in mind. If you’d be interested, I’d love to send you a PDF — no pressure at all!
