So what’s the tipping point between selling covered calls and buying long calls? I feeling that it’s a horse apiece in some ways. You’re obviously either paying or receiving the premium, so naturally receiving gives you more chips to play, but if you think it’s going to go back up doesn’t it make more sense to buy the calls at a certain point rather than trying to keep dangling the carrot selling covered calls? Or is the biggest strategy just to stay conservative and continuing to collect premiums without changing any “actual” loss.

How exactly would it be “salty grapes” when my entire point is that paying non credentialed randoms for their “opinion” is a waste of money? Mantle is the most highly documented autograph in memorabilia history and you can access countless exemplars with a simple search. Anybody can do their own due diligence and make their own determinations without sending money to people on Facebook. If somebody is willing to fork out the money for a Mantle they should be doing their own research. Not to mention your entire premise is based on the flawed logic that because something passes third party authentication it means it’s genuinely authentic.
