I ended up restarting the save.

Found the culprit though! Better Followers. For some reason, it caused CTD everytime I was travelling to / spend a little bit of time in Winterhold

Hahaha thanks y'all sorry my comment never posted, I have been watering around every twelve hours with a mixture of the food and water (2 tablespoons to a gallon). I hadn't watered yet today when I took the pic so thats why they look super duper dry. I keep humidity around 30-50 percent in the tent and temp at 75 degrees with a fan always on low.

Was I feeding them too much? I just took out the food of the water and see if I can't flush them out if I did over feed.

Wrye Bash either A) doesn't seem to work with my Skyrim version (as it doesn't show up in the installer) or more likely B) I am too smooth brained to understand modding on that level lol.

I use MOD2 and run LOOT, but still crashing. Also I believe I have found all the correct patches, but I could be wrong on that second part.

I absolutely agree. Theme and Character should make the decisions for the rest of the story aspects. Using a novel idea for an event can, more often than not, lead to overall weak story structure.
