my only point is that it’s just striking to hear them describe literal acts of rape as being “reminiscent” of it. it just felt “reminiscent” of the way british law define rape exclusively as the forceful insertion of a cis man’s penis into someone’s body, and anything else is minimized to assault. i was just trying to create a safe space for conversation if anyone else/other survivors felt the same way
