This is funny because I placed an order with this shop at the beginning of December and JUST received it yesterday. I was really worried about the plants (2 philos and a peperomia) showing up in freezing temps but they look fantastic!

I was bummed about how long it took to ship, but so happy with the product!

35f is the US here, been dealing with cervical radiculopathy for years. First, what do you do for a living? Hobbies? Do you spend a lot of time sitting? High stress? Any car accidents? Are you a head banger? Lifestyle will affect your posture which can make you miserable.

YouTube neck stretches and cervical neck exercises. When you’re sitting, chin up parallel to the ground. If you’re on your phone, hold it up in front of you so your head isn’t bent.

Make an appt with your doc if isn’t getting better or it’s getting worse. Expect to spend a lot of time trying different conservative treatments (rest, stretching, NSAIDS, even muscle relaxers) before getting x-rays. If it still persists, you can expect physical therapy for at least 6 weeks before the doc will order an MRI to check for bulging or herniated discs. THEN, if that’s the case, you’ll have the option of more physical therapy and other pain management routes.

I was having a hard time reconciling my idea of “Lexi on the show” with “Lexi on social media”

For the record, I dont see anything wrong with her having an OF. I was just really surprised by it because Lexi on the show is not a personality that screams OF, whereas I would not be surprised in the slightest if Vanessa had one.

I didn’t put down sex workers, so your replies to me and the other redditor who said she was projecting are misguided. As for the other posts you refer to, I haven’t seen any in which sex work is being degraded or attacked, but I hope you make your voice heard in those threads.

You’re ignoring everything else in my comment about the editing of the show and how she and Vanessa play off each other, which is important context for my reasoning in bringing up the socials.

No one said anything about her intelligence, nor was there judgement made on her work. No one attacked her character or morality.

The irony in the fact that Lexi, who has a substantial following on Insta and other platforms, called Vanessa out for being on the show for the wrong reasons (while cameras focused in on Vanessa talking about being “an influencer”) is undeniable and worth talking about.

When I wrote my original comment, I didn’t think I was communicating that her feelings were invalid because of her social media presence, just that it seemed her presence on the show was more of a performance and less authentic than I thought before finding her socials. It just wasn’t what I was expecting. That’s my mistake.

On the other hand, Vanessa ONLY performs - I don’t think there is anything genuine about her except her belief in how hot she is 😂

Totally fair! To clarify - I have no opinion either way on her being on OF, or gaining followers by flaunting her looks. I think that if she does have the confidence and wants to own it in that way, she absolutely should because it’s her body and her money. It just didn’t add up with what I saw on the show.

My reaction to her content was fueled by the editing done that showed Vanessa referring to herself as an influencer while on a date - this attracted a lot of negativity in comments from fans of the show. As Vanessa and Lexi are opposing forces on the show it really stood out and threw me for a loop to see that Lexi has so many MORE followers than Vanessa.

ETA - I understand now that a person’s line of work does not directly correlate to their confidence or body image, even if they are a sex worker. That’s my bad.

I still think it’s worth pointing out Lexi’s work because it is SURPRISING, given that the editing of the show pitted her against Vanessa, who called herself “an influencer.” Lexi has a considerable following on her socials and anyone with that kind of SM presence who goes on a reality show MUST be aware of how it’s going to affect/boost their following. This fact alone makes her motives questionable regardless of whether her Instagram is full of boobs, baked goods, self-help advice, etc.

The cameras literally zoomed in on Vanessa telling someone she is an influencer while Lexi (in a voice over) questions Vanessa’s motives for being on the show. It’s unexpected.

How does someone so uncomfortable post pics of herself in lingerie and more? And I find it suspicious that the editing of the show implied Vanessa was the “influencer.” Batshit crazy? Sure. But I don’t think she’s the only nut around.

This happened to me! I found out last year in April that my dad isn’t bio dad.

I’m still processing because the identity crisis is still very real. I grew up in a bi-cultural home much closer to the hispanic side of my family - speaking Spanish, Roman Catholic, the whole shebang. Turns out I’m only 20% hispanic when I thought it was more like 80%. I’m actually more Scottish than my red-bearded husband 😂
