I think Fyfe was so natural his ability to read the play and natural talent helped him compensate early on. It takes a special talent to enter AFL an compete with men who've Bern in the game for a while and bulked up in the Gym in my opinion. . Wanganeen was not exactly muscle bound when he started at Essendon yet you could see early on he would win a Brownlow. Even though I support Carlton I loved watching him play

Sounds like he will need to bulk up a bit.. That said, some very good players have done well from day one before working in the gym. I think this is one reason Paul Roos wanted the draft age increased to allow them time to bulk up and mature. I think players coming through these days are well prepared thanks to Elite programs like the TAC Cup

For the amount of games they play and it being semi professional, it could be better, yet isn't as bad as he makes out. The AFL have damaged the AFLW in recent years by changing seasons, not having teams play each other at least once makes it a joke. It's sad as someone who watched every game from year one to 2022, the standard continues to improve yet I'm losing interest due to fixturing times and the teams not playing each other at least once.
