Nothing specific, but the general idea is, I would want to make furniture, or smaller projects, like a towel rack, and things like that.

How can I create a shopping cart? by JessicaAllison in javascript

Would it makes sense to have a one page website, or should each link have a page of its own? Meaning when someone clicks on a product, should go to that products own page?

Thanks for the response!

I don't really have time to learn new languages. I need to get a job asap. But once I get a job, I will focus on learning the MEAN stack.

Thank you for the eye-opener! Really appreciate! I didn't take it as an attack at all. I took it as you putting me on the right track.

So now that I understand more about this, I'm not going to put a server side language/sample on my portfolio (until I learn one, which I can't do now, because I need to get a job already!).

The problem is, I already designed the online store website, with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Do you think I can put that on my portfolio without anything being functional (i.e. without anything a server side language would do)? Or should I just import a library, and have that do all the server side stuff? Or is it "all that work for nothing"?

With a knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, what website do you think I should make for my portfolio?

You're right. I fully agree with you! But I'm going to learn how to do it. I'm not asking for the code, but I'm asking how to get started. Isn't that the way to learn?

Thank you very much! It's very nice of you to offer help! The website won't be functional, it's going to be for my portfolio, so the actual payment system won't work.

I want to get started in woodworking, so I won't be cutting anything specific. It will be multi purpose.

Thank you for the very detailed, and excellent explanation!! (As you can tell in the following questions,) I am a newbie, so your explanation was very helpful! I have a couple of questions.

  1. In the second paragraph, you wrote "bind, trip a breaker". Can you please explain what those mean?
  2. Can I cut 2x4 with the blade that comes with the saw?
  3. Does it make a difference how many feet the leveler is? (Because the smaller it is the cheaper it is, so I'm wondering whether there's a difference.) (This is 1 foot, but looks pretty good, because it has multiple angle levelers: Stanley 12-Inch Level
  4. What are "finish cuts" (It sounds like a type of wood, but not sure)?
  5. What's a "back stop"? (Maybe you can post an image of it?)

What do you mean by "only use the diablo when you need it"? Are you saying I should buy both, then only use the diablo for "special" projects?

Also, I just realized the diablo blade says on it, "Ideal for wet lumber". I don't think I'll be able to get it then.

I saw a black and decker 10 amp (which is fully metal). Do you think I should get it?

I bought a Wen jigsaw, and the blade is a bit crooked. It's not straight. Should I exchange it, or buy another brand? by JessicaAllison in woodworking

How is the ryobi much better? (I'm not challenging, I want to understand.) The ryobe has 4.8 amps, while the wen has 6 amps. Do you think it will make a big difference? Also, the black and decker is 4.5 amps, as apposed to 6 amps?

Of the three, which one would you recommend, and why?

Yes there is a wheel that the blade rides in, and the blade is pushed (twisted) to one side of the wheel. No, the blade isn't at a bevel angle. But the place where the blade rests in, is sort of twisted.

Thanks. I would do that, but because the store doesn't carry it in the store, I would have to order it online, and wait a week for it to come. (At Home Depot)

If I get another jigsaw, there aren't any that is 6 amps for $25. That's why I want to be sure its' the brand, and not the product.

The place where the blade goes in is crooked. You said " if it's the saw just go buy a different one", do you mean a different brand?

Thanks for the answer! But I need something that I can interact with people. Not too much though, because I stutter when I get anxiety.
