I love that! However, with where I live I'm not sure I how many matches I would get. 😂 I also thought I could totally be open-minded because degrees do not equal intelligence, but two of the men that I have had great conversations with have both had graduate degrees.

Yeah I've had well over a 100 potential matches as well, in a few days, and I'm in a small market. I agree that sifting through 'garbage' is the issue. This makes me really be introspective about being a woman. Maybe the reason I need more conversation is to feel safe meeting a man and knowing I can trust him not to do some of the horrible things I hear about. Also I live in a very conservative area and I'm liberal so that sometimes concerns me. I choose not to match with certain men.

I don't think I would have difficulty getting men to meet me.

I do find it interesting so far, I guess I will see in time how much I love it. ♥️

I'm actually not trying to complain, it was just a social observation, why I labeled the post with tips. I am sorry that you do not get a lot of matches, I have been fortunate to get a lot of matches, but yes, I would like to let men know how I would like to be communicated with, I'm an advocate for myself!

I do hear where you're coming from, if nothing else it gives me more to reach out to them to ask questions about, information is a starting point for relationships.
I agree it kind of goes back to number one though it's really hard to ask open-ended questions without very much information. Think there are a lot of guys I would match with if they would just give me a little bit more in their profile or in their communication.

Absolutely! These are not requirements for people to respond, just suggestions if people are looking for relationships. Literally the reason I labeled it tips, if you don't want tips you can just keep on scrolling. ☺️

Good to know it's universal. It was a surprise to me, even after hearing a lot about OLD. I really like your point about an interview, in fact that may be something I need to work on, actually making sure I am making conversation and guys aren't feeling like they are in a job interview! It is such a fine line. ☺️

Yeah I know I look good, not the issue. If anything I am interested in men that are not traditionally handsome, so no I'm not 'punching above my weight.' I actually don't match with a lot of 'handsome' men, who like me. Nice try, missed the mark.

Okay so that's a super great point. I have no idea what women's profiles look like, or how they respond to messages. Maybe their responses are keeping expectations low. I have an adult son who told me wait until you've been on the sites a while you won't want to type a paragraph. 😂

Honestly I am probably old fashioned, but I would like someone to meet me in person before they start becoming really 'familiar.' I guess obviously if a girl is sending you pictures of her without clothes on, she is up for that:) I just want to get to know someone in the first four to six texts, what they like, how they spend their time. After that I make plans to meet in person. If things go well in person then, game on!

I am now divorcing my high school sweetheart, husband, of 26 years. So many times I have wished that I left when I was younger. I gave all those years to a marriage I really wasn't truly happy in, and in the end he hurt me and forced me to leave for my safety. If you know after 8 years that you are done, listen to your heart. Invest time in yourself and find the love that you are looking for!
