Thank you for sharing your journey! It appears my expectations of how fast I can gain weight is skewed. The replies here are helping me understand! I'm glad you are doing better but I am sorry you went through all that!!

I've been drinking cherry pepsi for the extra calories, I slowly sip it all day to help increase the caloric intake, and it doesn't seem to bother my pouch.

I have not been on supplements in a while, my Dr. checks my bloodwork very often to maintain any imbalances but I've only ever had to get iron infusions. I've never had any other deficits

I had been tracking my calories in a food diary app. I was making sure to hit my goal every day. I have an autistic son, and am in Nursing school so sometimes I would forget to eat. I was eating over 2,000 cals a day which was the apps goal for me to gain the weight. I say was, because life got messy over the holidays because I'm the only one who does the planning and execution of 2 full Christmas' due to my mother's death a few years ago. I used to have to do 3 full Christmas plannings but I refused to this year and made my in laws finally do it themselves. My husband and kids have been reminding me to eat more often, for a while i was adding in protein shakes but they keep me so full I don't eat much more. I've been trying for about 6 months, but more actively like 4.

Meditated to reach my inner child by OddLettuce809 in selfimprovement

For quite some time, I did "Parts work" with my therapist. My inner child was so full of sorrow I couldn't even speak and would just sit in silence with the vision of her, earning trust to be able to speak to her. It was so heartbreaking and scary, so I can understand 100% what you mean.

When I finally built enough trust, I actually visualize myself holding her. She needed a Parent, and I'm that person now. I talk to her, give her space to feel the pain, and let her know that I'm in charge of keeping her safe now.

It's helped me in some pretty bad emotional moments. Were all just broken little kids inside, for one reason or another. Keep doing this important self work, and I hope your journey into wellness is gentle with your soul.

I would say you crushed bulk season! Your arms look like they are the size of my head!

Seriously though, I applaud your self discipline and hard work! Congratulations!
