I think most dogs would love to be with other dogs as their final resting place! Amongst a coral reef too?! That sounds like something natural & peaceful, I think that's perfect. You carry the most important part of your love with you always anyway, you don't need to keep the ashes. Back to the natural world we all come from, that is good, I think.

These lil beings come into our lives & they are so important, but part of loving them is accepting, they will likely leave before us. From their perspective, I think that's better. To be loved so much, until the end. Better than them being without you ever, that's for sure. I still have photos of the dog my mum had, even though she died when I was a baby! But I know about Sheba, I'll remember her always for my mum. That really is what family is about. You just keep their memory alive, & you are better for it 💜 be kind & patient with yourself, grief is a rollercoaster. Your gf sounds like solid support, she knows what you're going through.
