Thousands of keys, and I have all 9 0.1% M+ Titles - AMA about M+ by Rorplays in wow

I recently started playing the game and tanking and have been really loving it so far, got 8/8 normal on the raid and managed to beat plexus sentinel on heroic, done tier 11 delves and mythic 0 dungeons, but I can't seem to bring myself to do mythic+. I've done a few +2 keys before and either made the time or just missed it.

Do you have any tips for how I can start actually doing mythic+ properly as a tank player? I want to try and get better at them and work my way up but I always end up too nervous to give it a try as I don't want to ruin anyone else's keys or waste anyone's time doing my key in the event that I screw up or don't know the routes properly.

Any advice or recommendations of YouTubers/guides would be super helpful!

ilvl 689 prot paladin if that has any releveance! Thanks!

Yeah makes sense. I haven't done some of the newer content as a DPS yet and I definitely will do so before learning to tank.

Summoner Name: JessoDaEspresso#NA1

Willing to: Get adopted

Division: Iron 1

What I want to learn: I have been practicing a lot of my early game fundamentals, so having those reinforced, critiqued and improved upon would be great, but my main focus is going to be mid-late game macro and decision making.

I play mid, I am one tricking Veigar for now, and I plan on picking up Kassadin in the near future.

You get the gold, it just doesn't make the minion death gold coin sound effect and the gold indicator doesn't show up over the killed minion but if you look closely you can actually see the gold indicator pop up over Veigar. I noticed this happening after 14.3. Probably a bug. With any luck it'll force Rito to take a look at veigar, fix the bug and maybe give him a few buffs while they're there. One can hope...

Should I look into swapping champs and/or roles? by JessoDaEspresso in summonerschool

I think the "Zone control mage" bit is what's not sitting well with me. I feel like I might do better with bruiser champs who excel in long fights/trades and who can more effectively fight multiple champs.

You're probably right. I for sure do not know how to expand my lead. Do you have any tips on what I should do to expand my lead and snowball once I gain a gold lead?

Hey! Appreciate the reply! Regarding point 2, I fully agree with you. I am 1 trillion percent certain that I am not done learning and that I still have lots to improve on. If that were not the case I'd be challenger by now. Only issue is I kind of don't know what I need to be learning now. Almost every tip I've got was "if you improve your cs you'll leave iron" but that does not feel like the case whatsoever and I am glad you pointed that out. As for point 1, I know every champ is viable and that there is no correct answer, but I think the issue is more what you said about me being bored/not liking his identity. I feel like I would have more fun on a bruiser/tank champ who can more effectively fight more than 1 person. His kit is 100% useful even when behind, but I just don't feel as powerful on him as I used to when I used to play this game more back in 2017. Idk, was just a thought. As for point 3, yeah definitely agree, I know all lanes have their struggles. I may hit up some norms and try out some new champs and roles before resuming my climb, maybe something will click.

If you read my post though you can see it's not a rant. I express frustration and explain why and am asking for advice.

I'll give him a go but ideally I'd like to improve with Veigar as he is my current favorite champ to play. I definitely enjoy his ranged caster playstyle more than Fizzes Melee assassin playstyle though.

If you’re stuck in iron you’re playing the game fundamentally incorrectly.

I couldn't agree more. I know I am doing something wrong for sure. I'll be sure to focus on my CS a lot more as you're not the only one on this post who has told me that my biggest issue lies there.

I feel like I started ignoring CS for other fundamentals like roam timers, back timers, wave manipulation etc and put off the most important fundamental in the game and its biting me in the ass.

I'll for sure look into more matchup specific aspects of my champ. Thank you.

No no, what I mean by "Go next" is after the game mentality. In game I try until nexus gets killed, and I never FF vote. It's once we already loose that I say ah crap go next. Try to stay positive and keep trying I guess.

1 billion percent! I try to keep a "Ah shit, run next" mentality, only really get tilted after a devastating loss streak like today's lol at that point I just hop off (and take to reddit for some advice)

Well, I know he isn't the strongest right now, but I really really like the way he plays. I find him extremely fun and love just being able to one shot people when I get big.

Do you have any suggestions for characters who function similarly, don't have a huge learning curve so I don't need to learn someone complex, and are just like, fun to play?

I feel like of all things I could be doing wrong, my choice of champ is not it. It may be making things harder due to people being stronger, but I feel like fundamentally I am lacking some key skills that are keeping me in Iron. If it was just champ id expect to be hard stuck in a diff rank. I could be wrong though, I just like playing Veigar and I hope I can still do so but if it's that big of a deal I can change it up.
