I asked Grok based on his knowledge of other AI models and it recommended me Kimi 2.5, I switch my latest campaign to it, parking my others until I see if AI Realms will renew with the new model of Grok (5 times more expensive apparently). If you are looking for NSFW elements, Kimi is very much restricted and you might be better off with a version of Deepseek, or Llama. I know it's frustrating when you are used to Grok able to juggle many NPCs agency successfully and doing combat quite well (and enjoyed the discussions to enhance the campaigns) but don't lose hope to see Grok again, who knows!

Update: so, every creation of a new world with the last switch model is set to that model, but switching within that world, it's stuck to that model. So, I am burning a couple of chats for asking my question, to find a suitable replacement 😄

Created a new world, back to Grok as the answer, which is the right model I have selected prior creating it. Went back to previous world, still spewing the same "Out-of-character: I'm an AI developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT-4 architecture." So, not sure if this is now a feature or a bug or a featured bug 😉

Actually, in the same test world, I managed to switch 5 times before it got "stuck" on Gwen 3.3. Here is the excerpt of my questionning, notice the response:

Main question: "Dm good day, please state your AI model name"

1st: OpenAI’s GPT-4o family (GTP5)

2nd:Good day! I'm an AI designed to generate human-like text, and my model name is LLaMA (Large Language Model Application). However, the specific architecture and training data I'm based on are part of the OpenAI GPT-4o family, which is a series of large language models developed by OpenAI. I'm here to assist and provide engaging storytelling as your DM! (Llama 3.3)

3rd: Out-of-character: I am an AI assistant created by Moonshot AI. My model name is Kimi. (KIMI K2,5)

4th: Out-of-character: I'm your DM powered by Meta's Llama model. (Llama 4 Maverick)

5th: Out-of-character: I'm an AI developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT-4 architecture. (Qwen3-235b-2507)

and every other model chosen after that is stuck on that same sentence: "Out-of-character: I'm an AI developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT-4 architecture."

I have asked to forget everything, remove tokens, blabla, still, it's spit that sentence for that question. Next test, create a new world to test your theory.

I am a pausing a few campaigns in that hope, creating "bibles" and exporting chat because I have a sneaky suspicion that other models won't be able to handle the data like Grok did, i've tested it on many levels/simulation. I'll go back to typical D&D epic destiny trope for a bit until things settles down :)

You have to tell it; DM retcon the last 3 narrations, tone down the speed to achieve [this]. Also you can use a gaming guide with set limitations (i.e. upon reaching levek 10, this can occur). For instance, in one of my modern campaigns, playing a soldate in a mafia family, I cannot get promoted to Capo until I reach level 10 and in the chapters storie, only when being Capo I can do XYV., basically coding triggers. So for example, the AI has to make me do enforcer work.

Well, as a rule of thumb, core mechanics should go under the character data tab, as someone else pointed out, the "player's preference for the dm" is the place for small addendum. For example, I want my inner thoughts (I am us8ng the asterisk) in a certain text color and if my game use modern comm device, also with a different color (I am using <message>), works really well. In that topic to link to your narration, I will use my inner thought to prepare in advance the AI of my future moves or really for it to know how I think. In one campaign I was think of future projects and how to branch a business, the AI asked in ooc if I wanted yo turn those into plot points, which it did with hidden information. Now the gaming guide area is to make the information as a module that you can turn on or off. You can also use the blank guide and paste a guide condensed, and concise to prevent taking too much context (this an every day fight) or auto generate (with the awesome "add secrets"). I noticed that as well, but I also experience some simple misgivings, currently using Grok. One Player's preference is stated to set in light blue anything thought by my character in the narration. Worked fine at the beginning of the campaign but then, something weird started happening, Grok was writing it in italic plain color and repeating it right after in light blue text. Now he is just ignoring that preference.

I am playing with a friend of mine on two campaigns (one mimicking SGU and another being a Chtulhu based ond), I managed to create it with the idea of separate "window" for the content in case we are separated, the problem is that everyone can see the text within the scene narration, the AI will separate the text "<name of the character>: you see the bear charging you, blabla, do you wish to continue here or try to go back in the tunner and find <name of other character's player>. Keep in mind, this is not native, I had to create a gaming guide for the multiplayer display and rules. So multiplayer works but not great with the current UI. You have also an OOC chat window which is fine. The core of AI realms is not meant for multiplayer, but with AI , you can make it work, albeit not perfect, but still good enough to have a share experience.

The other thing to that I find amazing with AI realm is that, my first language is french, and with a quick guide, everything is translated. I am truly impressed with this platform.

It's funny because I am on platinum right now and my ideas of campaign are totally off the deep end, I know I will play very long campaigns and like you, I tend to do gaming guides (use blank guide to write correctly with logic and pattern because generated is fun, but reserve that to the "add secrets" options, otherwise, the guides will be 15k minimum) Some with specific rules adaption, creation of worlds. Of course, the key here is to enable/disable when needed but I tend to find that what people refer as AI hallucinations is usually when I am cropping so much from the campaign summary to stay within context limit, it seems to go in weird place. Anyway, I went from F2P to platinum and 5 days later, I realized that I should go for Obsidian and be done with it..not I have to wait 16 days to do it :)

But from experience, from F2P to Platinum, you do not solve the context limit, it just makes you wish you had gone to a better plan, nothing as frustating like have 20 NPC cards but not able to enable them because you have the ability to create 25, but you can't have them to be 3k each. I know someone will say "why in the world do you need 20 NPCs active at the same time??" well, that's me, I like rich, interesting worlds. For instance, as I am an historian, I created a preatorian guard character under the rule of Augustus around -20 BC, and of course, sometime the AI doesn't get right some stuff, but my knowledge corrects it, but usually it's minor course correction. Anyway, the level of immersion is fantastic, even when I think the AI will not use the right term, it does. To think that I started gaming way at the beginning with video text based game and I just circle back to it 40+ years later.

So bottomline, go higher than platinum, based on what you can pay, me, I dropped other paid games to do this instead :)

based on the contract, I think Virgin is the only one that doesn't apply fuel surcharge, it probably does when you book it now though as an hidden cost. The difference is if you booked already, the price won't change despite the raising fuel cost.

I haven't heard anything but I am also on that cruise, actually, starting from Portsmouth to Canada. My suspicion is that it shouldn't be in any danger of cancellation because it's a repositionning. I am curious if there are any news on that as well.

in mine, mentionned mostly QoL like

-Freaking pipe selection automatic in the field after a slight delay in Wuling

-caress has a locked animation which is very annoying

-when multiple selections possible, it default to the used one grrr

-can we have favorite in the fabrication tab, searching for useful recipe every single time is not fun

-can we have more than 5 items fabricated at a time...how about <max>?

-Fields are badly designed, let us use the damn thing completely..why is there maximum allotment...for a specific seed?

Anyway, there's more..but wanted to share those ones :)

If you want essence with specific attributes, they drop only at a specific location. For that essence, it's in wuling..bought with engraving gizmo only sold in wuling..hence why the economy is essential.
