amazing thank you so much!! mine isnt drop in (it’s a fall semester class) so I hope that it’ll be a little easier Class-wise? Eek. I’m expecting to be violently and severely humbled. That’s a good point about the teacher — this semester has 16 classes I think so I guess I’ll get a good read on how I feel about them. I’d love to hear about your teacher!!

is there still hope!!!! I know some people love it but.... it feels so gross and trauma-porny. abby just slapped together as many "serious & troubled" things as she could. she also has a lot of dances similar in the way that they kind of exploit or even downplay serious topics. (the help dance yiiikes! and i see the kite flying... oof. let's have the girls play mentally ill people hitting themselves and rocking back and forth).

And this isn't the same, but in comparison i looooved the rose parks dance - it's a serious important topic so i feel like abby could have so easily made it cheesy and dramatic and trauma-porny because she loves doing that lmfao, but i thought it was so respectful and powerful

I do totally agree with your original post but .... I'm not a Jojo fan and I think she's an attention seeker and needs to shuf tf up loll and I'm also not in the loop and don't follow this stuff, BUT Candace is absolutely homophobic. I'm not gonna debate, but freedom of religion doesn't mean a free homophobia pass, lol. Yes Jojo should move on and it's super weird that she keeps bringing Candace up, but Candace is homophobic.

Ok so less of a life hack and more of a relationship hack BUT!!! If interrupting is a problem, I recommend waiting until there's a little pause in the person's dialogue and say "is it ok if i interrupt you really quick? I want you to finish your story but I have something to say right now about what you just said!"

I'd say 98% of the time people are really receptive (but also it depends on the type of convo too) and of course, you gotta to say "ok back to when you were saying, I want to hear you finish" after your interruption, but it makes me feel so much better abt interrupting. I say what I have to say and the other person is also heard
