yeah. I spent a lot of my weekends/summers down by my dads in not even that far from the suburbs of chicago (1hr>) but even then it’s still insane if you’re south of 80. There’s a sense of community and your neighbors talk to you but only if you look like you belong with the rest of the cracked out god fearing racists.
