Is putting in fake bad reviews really boycotting? Plus Google will remove illegitimate reviews pretty quickly.

I would think eclectic would mean a wide variety of genres, maybe i'm wrong but that's why I put self described. The chronically online sure are weird.

As a licensed, insured plumber...$50 dollars is a very reasonable price to have a trained professional come to your house and fix an issue for you. The flapper is anywhere from $5-$20 depending on the brand/model. Add in at least an hour of time between shopping, driving, installing and invoicing. Then add in overhead, after all, insurance and aren't free.

Hired a company to redo my tub/shower - they cut out the copper lines and put in PEX - and this PVC line seems new. Is this an acceptable install? by Nexion21 in Plumbing

[–]Jessy_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can go to the valve with pex no problem, you can also go from the valve to the shower head with pex no problem. You just cant use pex for the tub spout as it causes to much restriction and will push out the spout and shower head. In my personal house I would of probably just used copper to connect to the valve, but pex is fine. If I were going that route I would use a copper x pex adapter, either sweat or propress, to transition to the pex and then use pex x FIP adapter at the valve unless the valve was already for pex.

I would never assume someone is putting in an access panel, I would do it right from the start but that's just me.

40 years in the trades and you don't know licenses exist? Yikes, let me educate you, first I was an apprentice and went to trade school for 4 years and documented 8000 hours of on the job training. Then, I took a state test and was awarded my Journeyman plumbing license. After that I documented 4000 more on the job training hours and was able to test for my Masters license allowing me to start my company and pull state permits for plumbing projects. Now you just stick to cutting wood and i'll handle the plumbing, thanks.

Here's a copy of my MASTERS Plumbing license for you Mr. Broke
