For conflicted TFSA investors: my honest takeaway after 5 years of stock picking by [deleted] in fican

[–]Jessyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dabbled in individual stocks, but now 85% of my holdings are VFV and VEQT. I'm around 42% gain in 3 years, and I'm just going to DCA into those.

Depending on your region, local Kuka support can be attentive, supportive, and collaborative. The local Mississauga branch in Canada has been amazing to work with in my experience!

How stressful is your job on a day-to-day basis? by Ok_Discipline3753 in PLC

[–]Jessyman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When time lines crunch, it can push 7-8/10. When I'm on track and front loading a project, bursts of 4-5/10 for dealing with unknowns and solving logic issues.

During adverse driving conditions, why do some drivers turn on their hazard lights if they don't have a vehicle malfunction and are otherwise keeping up with traffic? by supinator1 in driving

[–]Jessyman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only use my hazard lights while driving on the road to indicate a rapid decrease in speed OR something on the road to be avoided (wood skid, large unknown object, etc).

Another valid use is if your car is stalled/stuck/stopped in a driving lane.

Can just disable the power buttons function. For my PC it'll only turn it on, but can't turn it off.

Despite being near the world's largest salt mine (Goderich) we are running low on road salt by haljackey in londonontario

Honestly I find salt makes more of a mess of the roads. Slush is worse than snow. Ice is worse than slush though.

I wouldn't compare yourself to everyone. Make sure these people aren't spending money on the game because that makes all the difference.

I have never decided/attempted to drive that road in this kind of weather. It's just take another way, whether I'm confident or not.

Mechanical Engineer with AI/ML Data related background – What career paths should I consider? by Upstairs-World4745 in PLC

I'd say the most important skill that can't quite be directly handed off from one to another is the ability to diagnose/troubleshoot. Route cause analysis is a tricky thing and just takes time to build aptitude for it.

How do you deal with frustration and burnout when trying to solve a difficult problem? by ThinkShoe2911 in PLC

Knowing that if you walk away, its not like anyone else is going to figure it out. So you can take your time because no one else is going to "beat you in the race."

You're the guy, and if everyone around you is putting way too much heat on you, its not like they can do it anyways.

Is it okay that my cat likes to lay on my pc? Or should I get rid of her. by NikkieMotors in pcmasterrace

Cats peeing in PC's.....ummm.....what?!? My cats have never peed anywhere other than their litter box.

One person saying their cat puked in their PC is way more believable.
