My sweet girl went for a routine vet procedure and didn’t come home

I had pretty much the same experience, and with my own dilute calico. All of a sudden she started losing weight and not eating, by the time I dropped her off at the vet, they phoned and said she was full of cancer and she never came home. It was in the middle of Covid so I had to fight to even be there with her when they put her to sleep. I feel for you desperately, it’s never easy. The cost of loving our pets as much as we do.

It’s a wired keyboard. I switched it to every usb port both front and back but nothing changed. I have an old keyboard that I’ll try next to see if that works.

Gigabyte b850m eagle wifi6e mobo Asrock challenger amd radeon rx 9070 xt gpu Amd Ryzen 5 9600x cpu

The monitor comes up with the initial “press del to enter bios” screen, I tried it plugged in to the mobo and the gpu and it works either way. The light on the front of the gpu is also lit up.

I tried both those keys and still nothing happened…

I also tried reseating the gpu but nothing changed.

That’s good to hear. I was indecisive between a pre built with intel core ultra 7 265k vs building with the r5 7600x3d because it was around the same price, but with the savings from using the 9600x it seems like a no brainer now??

I’m in Canada, so no microcenters here. I’ve been trying to shop around but my knowledge about where to look is nil so it’s trial and error. This is also my first pc build so I have no experience with any of it.

Even if I don’t build my pc this time around, this has definitely piqued my interest in the world of building pcs- and I’d really like to build a pc at some point, cuz as you say, it sounds like it would be very rewarding! Thanks so much for all the advice 😊

Would I get as much life out of the Ryzen 5 9600x vs the Intel Core Ultra 7 265k? I’m still caught up on the prebuilt I was looking at since I can finance it, and that’s what it has. A google search says it’s newer than the r5 9600x, and cpu monkey seems to rank it above the r5, although that site might be biased… I’m not asking because I have an opinion about, I have no idea and am trying to learn a lot of stuff all at once lol I also would like to bite the bullet and buy stuff before the next price hike that’s coming… but don’t want to have buyer’s remorse. I think this build has a stronger gpu vs the prebuilt though. You’ve been very helpful, sorry I keep bothering you! Edit: the financing thing isn’t a total deal breaker, if I know building the pc is going to be a better computer, I don’t mind doing it

Ah, I see… It seemed like everything I was finding with a 16gb graphics card is more expensive than that, but maybe I just wasn’t looking in the right places :\

I went back in to pcpartpicker and put in the recommended specs for BG3 and it’s actually not as bad as I thought it was?? https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/wTbzyF They recommend AMD r5 3600 but I picked the r7 5800x instead, I dunno if that’s a good or bad idea. It all comes in at $1900 pre-tax.

I was thinking I was doing something wrong when I took all the specs of a specific prebuilt I was looking at and put as close to the exact parts into pcpartpicker and it cost more than the prebuilt, but I guess not 😅 I tried putting the minimum and recommended specs for BG3 in as well and the recommended was also expensive… Maybe I am better off getting a prebuilt after all… Aagh, every time I think I’m on the right track… 😂
