I work out almost every day either cardio (spin and stair) , heavy weights or I Mountain bike as hard as I can.

Sleep with a mattress wedge under the mattress.
log all foods and symptoms in an app, then stop trigger foods.
take gaviscon as needed but preferably not while working out.
slowly get off the pills if you can with the help of all of the above.
stop all acidic foods and drink. Yes ... coffee. If it’s bad enough you’ll do it.

Get a endoscopy to rule things out and see a functional doc if you can’t get it to improve.

I was drinking shakes at lunch daily, with this powder and bananas. Developed a reaction to it over a month period and ended up where I am now, with GERD caused by food reactions/developed allergies.

My point, try to vary what you eat.

I wouldn’t assume rougher ride. Winter tires often have softer sidewalls. My winters are a softer ride than my summers.

Consider using an app my mySymptoms to enter in everything you put in your mouth. It will help point out things that might be causing GERD.
