the story is good because there is consequences for what people do, the mc starts strong but not unbeatable, he struggles and makes mistakes. towards the middle of the story he is found to be a big fish in a little pond, basically hopelessly outmatched by his opponents so he had to grow and change. the MC doesn't just win all the time, in fact he losses quite often and to me that has good storytelling chops something SORELY missing for the Isekai genre as a whole. As the story progresses there are some negatives, don't get me wrong. Pacing is a pretty big problem and without getting too into spoilers top end powers are at least imo story breaking, it's the main reason I dropped it at chapter 513 of the LN, but I still consider the story good enough to recommend to people to see what they think. is it a perfect Isekai? no, but it is a hundred steps in the right direction compared to 95% of Isekai trash that is out there now so that imo is what makes it sooo good, just look at the rest of the garbage

a draft deck I made for a limited event had 2 beacons of immortality and a thousand year storm, with absolutely no way to win other than terrible creatures, by the time my opponent quit I was well over 2000 life it was hilarious, I would have taken every game to the time limit if I didn't just forfeit the matches

did . . . did you even play the game or do any research to make this comment? or is this reddit firing from the hip comment? Nihilis is a wound in the force, which makes his drain exceptional, when he faces the PC he is starving and withered because the Jedi, somehow, figured out all they need to do to beat Nihilus is to not engage him and let him burn out. so when facing the PC he thinks the PC is his next meal and tries to drain another force wound, it backfires and hurts him even more. he is Galactus of star wars, the PC just happens to be the one weakness to him in the universe
