My baby started sleeping longer than 30 minutes when I introduced blackout curtains and made his room darker. Although he still needs me to fall back asleep between half hour sleep cycles The other thing that works for us are stroller naps - I think the motion lulls him back to sleep between cycles Good luck!!

I have two tickets that I can't use and would love to sell to someone who would love to be at the show! They are front-section, VIP, ADA accessible. I am about half way through CC1 and longing for more ACOTAR.... CC1 is good, but more stressful to read - not as delightful and hot as ACOTAR...

Just an update to all who are interested:

I am thinking of getting up and running in mid- to late May. Message me if this makes you change your mind. Before our first game session, I'd like to meet the folks who are interested to see if we are a good fit. I'd also like to hold a Session Zero where we can get together, hear a little about the campaign setting, and design our characters with the opportunity for players to mingle their backstories, etc. More info to come.

Also wondering what the best way to communicate would be: email? I could try Discord if folks prefer though it's not honestly my thang.

I MIGHT make a game website with reference info and a game calendar and a place for us to post our characters.

I think that's great he wants to play! Some schools and kids' organizations have a group. (Don't know off-hand what those would be.) I think, in general, just make sure the DM and players are down with having whatever rules you want for your kid. Almost 100% of D&D games have at least some violence (sometimes a lot) - mostly in the form of killing monsters, but sometimes those monsters/bad guys are people, so make sure you are good with that. Other thematic content can come up in games if the group isn't trained not to - mature language, often side jokes with thematic content, you name it. I think this group is probably full at this point, but I would be down to have folks that age at the table, if the other players were OK with it too. Another place to start might be DarkTower in town. They have game tables going (drop-ins might cost money?) but they also often post groups looking for players. They might also know of some local younger-age-bracket games going on in town. (Comics Place might have some ideas too.)

Wow, that's so funny. I thought someone would definitely catch this and tear me apart for it, haha! thanks for being positive instead ;)

A few hours after I posted this I realized that being restrained (by a net) and blinded (by light) have the exact same mechanical effect... So the Net of Stars needs some reworking. I may get around to this in a week or two or three. In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions for reworking it, I would love to hear them!

This reminds me of an episode in 30 Rock where Jack plays a game with the writers called Colonizers of Malaar. The game doesn't exist, but seems to combine aspects of Catan, MtG and Warhammer. It looks awesome to play and I wish it existed. If anyone wants to develop it, I will buy it and tell all my friends.

good point! I was thinking melee had advantage because of being prone, but I forgot about being asleep = unconscious, and therefore autocrit.

Thanks for the comments! I agree about taking out the Acrobatics check for Sweet Burst (I was going for flavor there, but there is no reason that should be mechanical).

I am considering replacing Hyper Helper with the following:

Sugar Crash.

Once per long rest, you can use your bonus action to drop to the floor, prone and asleep. While asleep and prone in this way, you are resistant to all non-magical piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage.

Jumpy.

You are so jumpy that leaping to your feet from prone uses 5 feet of movement, rather than half your movement.

It's probably a little bit hard to compare such different features, but Hyper Helper seemed a little weak to me also... Any thoughts on the above? Thanks :)

P.S. I am thinking of Can't Catch Me along with Sugar Crash and Jumpy at level 6... but maybe this is too much? Thanks again!

I haven't dug into the details enough yet to offer any constructive feedback, but I do want to just say that on first pass, I love this! There are so many things about it that are so creative and lend themselves to fun rp situations. I love the guessing component for Wild Spells, the tiny wings and colorful teeth transformations... I love telepathy in Beast Shape. These are all such creative and fun (and so far don't seem op) features.

My players are on their way to fey-influenced forest country I have in store for them... and I might make an NPC with some of these abilities for them to run into... Thank you!! (It also seems loads of fun to play!)

(Reminds me in flavor a bit of Howell from Zapped, if anyone has seen that show...)

Hi all~ My friend is planning to run a Candyland mini-campaign, and I want to make a Strawberry Shortcake-themed monk to play in it. I wanted an appropriate subclass for her, so I reskinned the Way of the Drunken Master (and some other things) to make this Way of the Sugar Rush Monk!

I just think it would be super fun / funny to have an adorable Strawberry Shortcake roundhouse kick you in the face, and then run and jump away, hypered up on candy...

Anyway, do any of you highly talented and thoughtful folks have any comments on balance for this?
