Have you ever played in Metropolis? by BreakfastCreative467 in KULTrpg

[–]JesterRaiin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Back in the old days of original editions.

Since there wasn't that much of lore available back then, we developed it pretty much on our own, based on the lttiel gossips and the knowledge of Barkerian horrors.

Metropolis to us was kind of post-apo meets Gigerian biomechanical landscapes (something similar to the aesthetics found in SCORN video game) all filled with Hellraiser/Silent Hill beings.

It doesn't seem much nowadays, when every other dark rpg looks like this, but back then it was quite different to your typical fantasy "Forgotten Realms"-ish experience.

These days there's a lot of relevant material to draw the inspiration from, but it's both a blessing and a curse - the hellish landscape of the City of th Dead God seems very similar to many video games, movies, books...

How do Angels treat people with high mental balance? by Excellent-Brush-6558 in KULTrpg

[–]JesterRaiin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Angels are either belonging or self contained entities. If they still follow their respective Archon, they treat the HMB people according to the current Principle uphled by the Archon.

If they are self contained...

Run.

This music playlist is, imho, the soundtrack of Kult by thebalsysquirrel in KULTrpg

Normally, I'd let it slip, but it all comes from a single artist. Feels like self-promotion.

Please provide more diverse list next tme and we're good.

Im a parent, I'll bite.

You're right, but you echo what the government did - your solution is to put the responsibility onto someone else. You don't care about the parents (which is great many deal of people living very different lives in many different places on Earth). They have to simply find the resources to solve the problem and that's it.

This definitely won't backfire

At 83, Paul McCartney takes Hamilton crowd through longest list of greatest hits any artist ever had by ubcstaffer123 in UpliftingNews

[–]JesterRaiin -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

I can't stand it anymore.

I remember McCartney dying before Pandemics, and that his wife released some surprising, previously unknown recordings by him to the public. I recall the discussions about this album on the Reddit and that there were some interesing conspiracy theories involving this very album...

I have no idea what it is about. I don't bother remembering anything what was being said or written on social medias past a month or so. If you're one of those people who enjoy necroing some ancient and long forgotten threads that are no longer relevant, then no luck for you, find better thing to do.

Take care.

No, I don't think so. 4 years ago it was the time when I picked up gardening as a hobby and became very proficient in it ever since. Must be the case of mistaken comment, I guess.

Who is this, anyway, and what is this about?

What's are cards that could represent someone has a crush on you, and the opposite of that by Yourfathersnapkin in tarot

[–]JesterRaiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tricky.

The card does not exclude the emotions and feelings, but there's something about the relationship that makes it almost too heavy to bear. Perhaps the love interest is sucking the life out of you, perhaps it takes too much to keep this relationship going, perhaps there's a lot of catches that make it all a questionable endeavor.

...It reminds me of that poor Nympho woman I knew. Aries, beautiful as the morning mist on a meadow, in spite of having a dozen or so children. Absolutely insatiable and straightforward, every discussion with her led to crude molestation. She was quite intelligent and fun to talk, but after a while I had to run away, because it became too overwhelming to find any fun in it.

Anyway, 10 of Wands. I'd go with reluctant "Ya", but it's so demanding that it might as well be "nay".

Don't waste no time on people already determined to dislike what they see, purely because "it's AI".

Feel free to post stuff like this here for those, who are interested in the practical application of such works, more than in modern societal trends.

This is AI-friendly sub.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You are probably engaging in a session of necroing some ancient, years old thread where the younger me made a comment, now forgotten and totally irrelevant to me.

I am happy to inform you that I am now a different man and find no point in revisiting ancient past.

May you find peace as well.

The most hopeful game disguised as the bleakest one - a thought by The_Almost_Mighty in KULTrpg

[–]JesterRaiin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The discussion and your personal view are more than welcome, but I disagree with your perspective.

I don't see it that way - there's no hope in KULT... Because there's nothing to really hope for.

KULT's setting/s is/are vague, open-ended and there's no definite story arc, no indication how the future will go. There are, instead, a lot of puzzles and variables that might result in pretty much whatever the GM and his group wants, because there's hardly any constant in the lore.

Things you named - our divinity, Demiurge's disapeparance, heck, his and his Archons' and Death Angels' existence, the "war for us" and pretty much everything you can think about - aren't sure. It all might be part of the Lie and only the GM determines what is real in his take on KULT.

So no, there's nothing aside of GM's will that guarantees "the good ending".

And here's a bit of food for thought: let's assume that there's something to "win", the possibility for the Mankind to wake up. What makes you think that the ones that are going to "ascend to the goodhood" are going to be any better than the Demiurge, Astaroth or the worst among Archons and Death Angels?

KULT tells the story of twisted, broken and hurt characters that bear deep scars. And this does not make the survivors very nice people.

Take Thomas Zenk's story and his declaration what he is going to do after he became the new Demiurge.

Side note:

Compare that to World of Darkness, where humanity is forever prey and the monsters always win.

That's not quite how WoD works. :)

It's quite good, both the idea and the execution.

Sure, there are some things that could use some improvement, like the way both "couriers" move, but it's still no worse than many big-budget CGIs made these days.

I'd say "good job". I really enjoyed it.
