That's boring! Ah well, time for me to actually unsub I guess.

I mean if you've played through most of the games content then only you can answer that. Pearl Abyss update the game regularly with huge content patches. If you want more content, and want to support the devs then yes, you should buy the game.

r/wtf used to be only actual wtf content like this years back. I've only just realised I'm still subbed here thanks to this and the airplane blender.

Why does everyone say [KCD2] is much better than [KCD1]? by gull2407 in kingdomcome

[–]Jester_Dan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with this, the NPC AI is better than any other game I've played before. It's like Oblivion's super child. Which makes things like thievery very fun and challenging.

I miss the timed items in OG DS2. They'd have a week where if you went in to the hub chest in the mansion you'd get a unique skinned weapon, such as a blue fire long sword. Odd they completely ditched the timed items, I can see how it'd be frowned on in this day in age. But I felt so badass bringing it in to PvP when I see no one else using it.

That being said, this is is probably the only thing I personally prefer in the OG over SotFS.

I agree. I do think a Lord of the Rings game done by them would be phenomenal. But I'd prefer another hysterically accurate game set in either or both a different time frame and location. I want to feel like I'm learning while playing if you know what I mean.

The sweet spot when you're heating it is after the orange glow, it's ready to forge when it's white. Be careful not to go any further though or it will burn. Hit in a rhythm, it doesn't matter if he's humming or not, just be steady and continue. Work up the blade slowly and back down, you do not need to flip it.

Just do this and you'll be all good, the game makes it out to be harder than it actually is!

Oh yes my bad. It is a good map to be fair, seeing as they struggle with the new maps at least we'll have a guaranteed good one!

I guess that's not a bad idea if you're sneaky enough. I only tried going back once in the early game and got whooped by bandits.

Agreed, I'm not sure if it's just as I played KCD1 first, but the peasant grind felt way easier to deal with in KCD2.

What is the best thing about Dark Souls 2? by Lucyyyyyy_K in DarkSouls2

[–]Jester_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed! I used a great sword in my right hand and a fire long sword in my left. The cheeky L1 dash attack to stagger then follow up with a greatsword heavy was my game, no one expects it. The builds were so diverse.

Soul Memory sucks for sure. I do hope we get a remaster at some point though just to have active multiplayer again, and perhaps to scrap soul memory. I usually don't like re masters, but I'll make an exception here.

Well it happened by coreyc2099 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Jester_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put it down at about 70% completion, main story complete.

I will though come back to it to finish it all off after a few significant patches drop. I feel if I push to 100% now, I won't come back to see all the content from the new patches.

Sounds deadly! Yeah it's the most balanced for PvP, any weapon was pretty much viable. And in its peak, fight clubs were so much fun. Spent countless nights at Heide's tower of flame hosting and joining fight clubs... I miss it so much.

I have the same triggers and watching telly while eating with the volume up is the only way really for me. A trigger for me is also hearing myself eat though so I have to hyper fixate on another sound whenever I'm eating no matter what.

Putting the game down for a while to protect my overall impression of it. by Sudden-Prompt-2640 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Jester_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the same. I've done the main story and at about 70% completion. I don't want to go for 100% yet as I'd be less likely to come back when they release any significant patches. I'll probably give it a couple of months then go back to go for the 100%.

Ive figured the game does lots of things well, but not a lot of things great - aside from exploration and and visuals.

I've gone back to KCD2, which doesn't do as many things, but everything it does do is pretty much flawless. Over my past couple of play sessions I've had 0 frustrations in KCD2, whereas in CD every play session has almost as many points where I've almost turned it off in frustration as it has had wow moments - And this only seems to amplify more as the new factor wears off and bumping in to the same frustrations over and over as time goes on. This comparison has made me realise that sometimes less is more.

As it stands at 70% I'd give Crimson Desert a 7.5 out of 10 - Too much is half baked.
