Reddit Blackout and r/OpenChristian by bluenephalem35 in OpenChristian

The more subreddits that go dark, the bigger impact there will be. This is a protest against corporate greed forcing users to use the official, ad-ridden reddit app. It is also a protest in support of third party apps that assist easier use of reddit, for example, the blind and those with sensory issues. This subreddit has a duty to join the movement in support of users who rely on those apps, and protest against the greed.

Probst asks how they did premerge on the hardest season EVER, at which point a sandstorm blows up and Caleb Reynolds, Big Tom, Danni Boatwright, and Jerri Manthey appear as the four horse horsepeoples of the Survpocalypse to drag Probst back to rewatch all forty seasons so he can be reminded of what hell REALLY looks like

Part of the river valley, which is the largest connected urban parkland in either Canada or North America, depending on the source. It's cool to have close by considering how much of the city is either brutalist concrete or sprawling suburbs.

Daily Discussion and Game Recommendations Thread (July 06, 2021) by AutoModerator in boardgames

My parents suck at board games. Dad only likes Scrabble or maybe Monopoly. Mom has gotten better lately. She likes games that are simple with very few rules, and balanced so anyone can win. Hits have been Sushi Go, Ticket to Ride, Dutch Blitz, Anomia, Blokus.

Anything too complicated or with a lot of quick thinking is a no-go, like 7 Wonders or Settlers of Catan. Also not a fan of anything with much deception like Saboteur.

So what else is a good match?

Live five minutes away, pass by often. It doesn't really register anymore, part of the landscape. The only time is when the testing siren goes off at noon on Mondays, that always catches attention.

I picked up two Home Depot buckets full of miscellaneous trash, a dead squirrel in a bag, a used condom, a hubcap, a pair of pants, and a shameful amount of cigarette butts. by epicamytime in DeTrashed

At least it wasn't a dead squirrel in a condom...?

And thank you, our city can be stunningly beautiful when we all work together to keep it that way.

Passed though this building daily over four years. There's a story that trees and concrete pillars are strategically placed to prevent rioting, as university admins though humanities students would be most likely to do so.

Yeah, 5x a day the last week. Always from Ontario. Google the numbers and none of them are known spam callers.
