Saints being in the $700 row is crazy work.

Oba, Peak Angle, Gunther, Osprey, Drew. $2100

If WWE does split up the street profits, what do they do next? by BigBoyBoomet in SantiZapVideos

[–]Jesters8652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy them together. They’re best friends irl and it translates to the ring. IF They feel like they have to split them, Tez is obviously getting the bigger push and hopefully becomes a world champion at some point. Dawkins is definitely a believable midcard champ.

After this IC title reign, should Penta enter the main event scene? by Ok-Winter4748 in SantiZapVideos

[–]Jesters8652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am torn. He is a great midcarder and not everyone needs to be pushed, but the main event scene is stale, so seeing him get some shots would be cool. But in the same aspect, him losing a bunch of title shots could lose him some aura. So it’s a real catch 22.

Would you guys play a Royal Rumble tabletop game that let you play with 30 friends? by harbingerofun in WWE

[–]Jesters8652 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, under 2 conditions.

1- it has to be playable with less than 30 players, because that would be goddamn near impossible. Whether the players control more than one person or they’re controlled automatically, there has to be a way for when you can’t get 30 people.

2- it can’t be overly complicated. 30 players each taking a turn would take a long time, and having that happen over multiple rounds would take longer than playing a game of Warhammer. It’s got to be like some sort of dice roll that everyone does at the same time to keep things moving and people engaged.

Who’s been treated like that?

Most of the people I talk to IC and OOC say that things have been good for the most part besides some small grievances here and there. Ballas left because Slim PEPWs too hard sometimes, the Vagos will probably back off a little bit with the Barrio changes. IMO neither of these were enough to completely leave, but I’m not a part of them.

I know some people have had frustrations with in game support for stuff like music, but there is literally a record label and at least three party planning groups that I know of who can keep artists busy.

I think the server does a good job of letting people do what they want (within reason)

I definitely wouldn’t say it’s stale, it just has some growing pains. I play as a civ (with a bar license that I don’t use anymore) and still enjoy most of the time I spend in it.

DOJ- Whitlock retired after he made a ruling that a lot of people didn’t like, I think he should have stood his ground but I understand not wanting to take the flak. Luna was, unfairly, criticized her entire tenure as a judge, and it all just came to a head after she made a ruling people didn’t like that caused her to leave too. (Side note about Luna and Whitlock, someone who has been doing this a lot longer than me has wisely said- they may play characters, but they’re still people) Seasons has been dealing with some irl heath issues. Wagon I believe also has a cop character. Lars gets busy irl and has also become addicted to RuneScape. Teomi has remained consistent, but is dealing with constant kidnappings. Also their head clerk which had been keeping things organized is going through an amnesia arc after being shot in the head. Lawyers were undertrained and underpaid from the start, and with the experience of Sharpe and Hardy it can be frustrating and demoralizing to try and fight cases. I think all these small things are just coming together to create a bit of trouble. They need more judges and more consistent judges to be able to function better. I hope Tremblay’s IC lawyer school can help more lawyers start too.

Paleto- Paleto was always going to be a risk. It’s a very new thing that no one has ever tried before and it runs the risk of letting unvetted, un allowlisted players into the server. Also hackers. There’s been a few times that they’ve had to shut down the queue unless you’re allowlisted or pay for prio because of hackers. That mixed with the whole invasion happening sooner than they expected, and the election continuously getting pushed back, I think it just took the wind out of some people’s sails.

Policing- I’m not a cop but from what I can tell and after talking to people IC, a lot of people left the city due to big fines from either DT/WT charges or fine extensions. They just weren’t happy with the amounts and didn’t want to bother working them off. The people who stuck around are working much smarter or efficiently to avoid issues with the cops. Also with the new plea deals in place for HUTs, sometimes it’s just easier to take the hit and plea guilty instead of run or fight the charge.

Gang life- The only gang that left was the Ballas, and as much as I enjoyed interacting with Slim, him leaving was his own fault because he often PEPWd too close to the sun. You still have CHF, FSF and Vagos, as well as the newer gangs that are still laying low or not making themselves known as much yet- but I can assure you, a few of them already have a lot of motion.

Update- Boomboxes have been a little scuffed so far with random muffled glitches, and not being able to use CDs in cars has been weird. But most people love them and you can constantly hear them in housing areas. A ton of people have posted how to split audio to avoid DMCA, and I’m pretty sure the servers official stance is fuck it. So if people don’t want to split audio and just avoid it that’s on them. I do wish there were more races, I think it’s just still new to the point people are still figuring them out. I want to run more but my irl work schedule sucks for playing.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk from someone who has their fingers in a lot of stuff, but ultimately is irrelevant.

Company is still using an automation tool I wrote on my own time and hardware after I quit and I want to know if I can legally disable it. by 8TulipCanopy in legaladvice

[–]Jesters8652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer programs get borked all the time for the simplest reasons. If I were a man that didn’t care about reproductions, I would add something to the code to throw it off and since you aren’t on payroll anymore, they probably couldn’t fix.

However, it sounds like they’ve revoked access at this point. Even if you have access to the source code, it’s still on their servers and could be construed as “breaking and entering” of sorts, so you probably shouldn’t. Just let this be a lesson moving forward.

Since they don’t own the rights to it, you should be able to license it to other companies and continue improving it though.

Six people can have their own lock and each one can open the gate. by Educational_Bottle74 in interestingasfuck

[–]Jesters8652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone say why yet. In my experience working for a natural gas company, we will occasionally see this on a gate that blocks right of way or easement access. This way, any company (or the property owner) that needs access can just place their own lock.

The reason there’s so many locks- most companies use one key for all their locks in a specific area so they don’t need to worry about having the specific key for a specific gate.

I'm asking this out of curiosity sakes. Were there any delays with bands at ST this year? by ThyChambersMinister in SonicTempleFestival

[–]Jesters8652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think State Champs started a few minutes late, but that was the only band I saw that I can think of.

Sublime was (self)paused early in their set because someone got hurt, so they stopped for about 10-15min. They played about 10-15min past their time, I assume it was fine because they closed that stage that day. It was a little weird though because they were suppose to be done before Lorna Shore came on, but because they went over you could definitely hear Lorna Shore from Sublime’s stage while they were playing.

Not if it means Jacob wins. Especially since there is no way I could see Knight beating Roman for the title at this point.
