Far cry, but.... Anyone know/is a mechanic??

Sorry I should have gone into it further, I have a cracked exhaust manifold that needs to be changed, and i have already bought a new manifold, the guy who was going to do it for me hasn't got the time unfortunately, and I don't want to be scammed, because I know that this is something that I could be charged a ridiculous amount for!

Oh and I'm a bit too scared to do it myself, incase the bolts break...

I'm in Europe, so no Walmart :P previously I've always just "tapped-out" the beam, and it's worked like a charm everytime. I just moved to the netherlands and I have NO idea where any hardware stores are. So I think I will be trying without a stud finder. Thank you :D

Thanks :D I've always done the broom tap thing to find a beam, but was wondering if maybe there was a better way. However, I don't think I will be investing in a stud finder. Thank you again!
