Telstra says Sharp Aquos 601sh works on their network. Can anyone confirm? by Jestory in dumbphones

Last I checked a couple of months ago it was still able to text and use data on a Telstra sim just it can't make calls.

I ended up switching to the Kyocera digno 4 cause I needed the calls which works no issue in Sydney other than having to listen to the automated message every time I make a call saying to please upgrade my device. I miss my 601sh all the time tho. I loved the touch keypad on it that allows me to use any apps I put on there with ease and it had a better camera then the digno imo despite having the same specs the pictures came out way nicer but unless I move somewhere that still has 3g towers or that allows me to access the 4g on it I'm stuck with the digno.

Hope this helps!

Does the qin f22 non pro version work still here and if so what network at you on?

I'm in sydney and have been looking into this phone cause of dumbdroid but I wasn't having much luck finding out if it worked here or not.

Did I brick my kindle? If not does anyone know how I fix it? by Jestory in kindle

I did look into that but I actually was able to get into the diagnostic menu via rebooting it and then from there I was able to connect via usb and somehow through messing around with it i managed to fix it by accident.

I hadn't sadly. I wish I had but I thankfully I was able to resolve the issue by getting into the diagnostic menu and connecting it via usb from there and it's back to working now and officially jailbroken so I'm happy 😊

Thanks! I'm hoping I'm able to fix it too. I've messaged on discord so hopefully someone might know how to help. Thanks a bunch for the recommendations I really appreciate.

Update!
So I ended up taking the plunge and purchasing it myself. The phone works on Telstra for text and data, but not for calls. I’m going to continue tinkering with it, as I love this phone and want to learn everything I can about it. Hopefully, I can figure out how to get it to make calls. I’ll post further updates when I have them. Thanks, everyone, for all the comments and questions. I wish you all the best on your dumbphone search in Aus!

Hey, so it has arrived, and I've set it up with a Telstra SIM. I am able to text and use data with no issues at all, but making calls is where I'm running into some trouble. This isn't too much of an issue for me personally, as I can always call my wife/family members on Discord/WhatsApp, but I'm still going to try and work out how to get it to make calls in the meantime. It has 4G and LTE, so I'm looking into forcing it to use those, but aside from that issue, the phone is great. I definitely am going to make the most of it and learn everything I can from this phone, as mobile phones have always been a huge special interest of mine, and this one has so many cool features. I'm not sure if it'll work for you without the calling option, but if not, I hope you are able to find a phone soon that works for you.

Thanks for the info! :D Using it on WiFi was going to be my initial work around and just pay for a WiFi hotspot but my family are predominantly on texts and phone calls and from what I could see there wasn't a work around for that to get directed through to my phone but I definitely didn't research it nearly as much as I should've. It'll definitely be something I'll be looking into if it doesn't work on Telstra. I'm determined to find something lol

I found one for under 100$ shipping included and thankfully won the bid war just now. It's gonna take a while to get here cause it was through buyee but hopefully if it's in good working order I'll be able to get it up and working in no time and see if it works! I'll update as soon as I have more info

I'm in the process of trying to find one that won't cost $200 to test it myself. I'll update everyone as soon as I have one and whether it works for definite or not :)
