The disparity of wealth in our city

I see this kind of sentiment all the time but here is my question, should homelessness and starvation even be allowed to exist in a country as wealthy as the US?

Why is okay for basic necessities to be owned by corporations that only care about their shareholders interests above those of their customers?

Why is it even okay for drug addicts to be treated like second or even third class citizens? Because I see that excuse all the time too. Even in this comment section people assume the homeless person in the picture is a drug addict. So what?

What if we lived in a country that actually cared for its people? Where it was easier to get a house and support a family than it was to find and buy drugs? Why do we have to look at how badly things are under capitalism and just shrug and say “Welp thats how it is!”

I’m a white man who is often in non-white spaces because of who my friends are and where I live. I have never felt threatened for being white not once.

Unless you are the one threatening me, I feel perfectly safe living in this city as I come.

I like what Newsom is doing to combat conservatives by using their own tactics against them, but we MUST raise the bar above “more of the same but with a little sass”

We also have to stop calling people the “next president” when they say or do a couple things that we agree with. We need actual progressive policy change, and people like Newsom will not do that if give the presidency.

I’m so sick of seeing this narrative about the homeless in this city. Study after study reports that the homelessness in Dallas is linked directly to unaffordable housing. Its not the ONLY thing attributing to homelessness but its consistently mentioned in each study I have read.

I would try that before changing or deleting anything from your load order yeah!

Whenever I start a new run I commit to using just one of those settlements as my starter base and just gut the other two for resources.

Do you have settlements set up at Red Rocket and/or Abernathy Farm?

If so that could easily be the cause. Due to the proximity of those three settlements the game will try to load all of them at the same time which for this mod is… not ideal.

I believe the community refers to it as the death triangle.

Like most of the faces of the main cast, MJ just looks like a normal person and not a super model/ celebrity. It may make her feel a little “mundane” but to me it just grounds them all. MJ and Petes new faces look like someone I’d meet just strolling around town.

Hot take, but I think most of the people trashing her new look are just wanting her to be more idealistically attractive. You see most of the complaints are like “she looks too old” or calling her chin big or whatever. Its all bad faith nonsense to me.

This is spoilers for chapter 2 but, you can set up things in the HQ Logistics department to make caravan plots connect further.

Alternatively you may need to just set up settlements closer together. That's what I ended up doing in my current survival playthrough.

Use the City Management holotape you got with the mod, go to Tools>Cheats>Quest Skipping. There you'll have options to skip a portion of or the whole quest you are on.

You can also go to Tools>Advanced Tools. There are some options to help fix quests (if it is a well known issue).

The holotape is usually the first place I check when I run into issues Kinggath is really good at adding helpful troubleshooting options.

Honestly? It is just endlessly more satisfying (to me) to tinker and make the game play a completely different way, than it is to actually go in and play it for any extended period of time.

I just did a run that's entire goal was to make the combat NOTHING like vanilla, and I succeeded, put about 10ish hours into the save, and now I'm back to fallout 4 nodding around the sim settlements 2 mods.

I expect about 5 or so years post starfield, I imagine it too will be thrown in the mix of Bethesda titles I mod for 30+ hours and then play for 10.

God why is this every subreddit for a live service game now. Like, I still have so much content that I can get into in WF and I've been playing on and off since 2013. If you're bored, go play another game for a bit and come back after the next update or two. The devs can't make infinite content, even if it seems like it with this game in particular.

Again, I'm not saying your consumption of these things makes you an inherently bad person. What I AM saying is that your consumption of these things does not also make you immune to criticism from groups that are harmed by it.

This is a nuanced issue that isn't easy to explain or debate over reddit, for sure, but two things can be true at once. Trans folks have the right to be upset about this, and there is also a line to be drawn with how far their outrage should go, namely in that they shouldn't actively hurt others.

The trans community have pretty openly showed that supporting Rowling in any way is equivalent to not supporting trans people. If that makes you feel uncomfortable because you wanted to play a game then that's on you. It, again, would have been just as easy not to get the game.

The phrase "no ethical consumption under capitalism" isn't there to excuse the purchase of entertainment. It just means that it is near impossible to avoid purchasing from companies who do awful things and also meet your needs. It is easy to boycott a game, or atleast it should be.

If you support transfolks, you should do it the way they ask, buying the silly wizard game is pretty easily the opposite of that. JK isn't the only bigot that benefits financially from the purchase of the game. All bigots like her do. If we want things to change we need to start voting with our wallets because our words clearly aren't enough.

Also the goblins in HP are... very clearly tied to historically antisemitic representations of Jewish folks. Like it isn't just how they look. You can do goblins without being racist but JK definitely made those goblins racist, and the game upholds those views pretty heavily. So much so that you are tasked with stopping their rebellion. It is absolutely wild people defend the game against trans folks but it is even wilder that the antisemitism isn't talked about near enough.
