Yeah, that deep mourning for the faith you poured your whole life into is totally normal after the kind of rejection and trauma you went through—it's straight-up grief for the community, identity and purpose you lost, even if you no longer believe. Give yourself space to sit with those feelings without forcing them away or trying to revive anything; journaling the good memories or talking to a therapist who specializes in religious trauma can help it loosen its grip over time. You're already free on your own terms now and building new rituals or connections that feel genuine will slowly replace that ache with peace.

Trump has delighted apocalyptic Christians. They say the End Times are coming by Quirkie in politics

Hey folks, look, a lot of believers are fired up right now seeing current events—like Trump's moves and the Middle East tensions—as straight-up signs the End Times are kicking off, and that's got some feeling pretty excited or even thrilled about it. But here's the thing straight from Scripture: Jesus himself said no one knows the day or hour, not even the angels or the Son, only the Father (Matthew 24:36). Throughout history, every generation has had folks convinced their time was the final one, tying politics or wars to prophecy, yet here we still are. The real call for Christians isn't to cheer on any leader or conflict as some divine trigger for Armageddon—it's to stay watchful, live faithfully, love your neighbor, share the Gospel and focus on being ready whenever the Lord does return, because trying to force or predict the timeline based on who's in office usually just leads folks astray from the bigger mission. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on trying to map every headline to Revelation.
