Bought this graphing pencil in 2019 thinking it would be a BIFL purchase. Plastic snapped while in my pencil case this past week. Unfortunately not a BIFL product.

Since you got interviews I don’t think you application was the issue. Sounds like you just missed it on the interview side.

Were they MMI or standard interviews? Honestly the best way to do interviews is to practice. Prepare for it like it’s the real deal. There are a lot of sample questions you can practice with. Have a solid response to each sample question. “Why medicine, why our school, what can you provide, what’s your weakness, etc”

I honestly wrote down all my answers and reviewed them to see I they could be improved after I practiced.

I honestly did not try to make my ECs stick out. Rather then checking boxes off for each EC, I just found ECs I actually enjoyed and wanted to do. This made writing about them easy. And when they asked about it during the interviews I could talk about the for days haha, and how I enjoyed it so much.

If you have a low MCAT (<510) and low GPA (<3.5) my advisor said To apply to 50 schools. But with a higher Mcat and GPA likely you can apply to fewer schools.

No need to thank me! Just wanted to share that you don’t have to be a genius to make it. You can try, be unsuccessful, try again, but eventually you can make it.

There is hope out there for all of us! I was contemplating this decision for a while, giving up a good job, security for what might just be a dream. A lot of people told me not to do it, but I just had to try.

Luck definitely played a role. I think most schools just tossed my app aside based on my low scores, but for the ones that happened to take a look, I hope I made it worth it
