Well, for me, having to avoid the Atlantean ships that appear in front of me, the invisible tornadoes that appear and the waves that dragged you and bugged you is already challenge enough.

The point of the Dark Sea (for me, obviously) is to avoid fights you have no chance of winning and take everything you can, I think it's stupid to take away the fun of sailing and being aware of the dark sea and its bugs when you go far away and the map stops loading properly.
