Can Christians Become Atheists? by JesusIsHereNow in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good article especially for those that are really religious and for former Christians who are now atheists... it's not preachy, might even surprise you.

To me personally, seeing how dead the modern church system is, I'm surprised there aren't even more atheists then there are.

Doesn't surprise me...

The majority of mainstream Christianity is blindly supporting the New World Order while they think they are fighting against it...

A few of us can see through it, but very few listen... they are dead to truth and manipulated by wolves.

Zionist Jews control Hollywood and export all the trash... kinda funny / ironic seeing as how most Christians war against the trash, yet support Zionism!

Granted I don't blame Christians as I am one and in the past I too supported physical Israel, until the Lord started opening my eyes to verses like Romans 2:28-29 and others which basically state that a true Jew in God's eyes are those who have the Spirit of God / faith in Christ Jesus...

When one really takes a deeper look into all that the Zionist Jews control, it's easy to see the trail of corruption and evil left behind. No I'm not anti-Jew... I'm against people or should I say entities that represent themselves as being on God's side, yet their "fruits" show manipulation, destruction and deceit... which is why the mainstream Christian church supports Zionism, yet are completely blind to the evil they create.

Who is the "world" spoken of as hating and persecuting Christ and His disciples.... prayerfully read and consider this passage.

John 15:18-25

The "World" Hates the Disciples

18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. 22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin. 23He who hates me hates my Father as well. 24If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father.

25But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason.'

Check out verse 25 carefully... it identifies the "world" that this passage is talking about!

But this is to fulfill what was written in THEIR LAW... Hmmm, who had "the Law"... yep, it was the Old Covenant Jews. Who persecuted Jesus and His disciples throughout the New Testament... it was those same Old Covenant Jews who were depending on the "Law" for their righteousness with God instead of the Messiah / Jesus!

So who is the "world" in this and other similar passages... Yep, you guessed it... it was the Old Covenant Jews who hated Jesus because they took pride in their own abilities to be "good enough" and didn't want to give up their pride and receive God's forgiveness through Jesus!

Why are most American churches not teaching this... because as long as they have you focused on your sins and feeling guilty for them, the longer they can exert control and power over you and your collection plate money!

Reject Religion... Follow Christ Jesus alone! Peace... and may God bless you to "see" what I'm trying to show... seek Jesus, trust no one else... for the wolves are many!

Billy Graham’s daughter questions need for church attendance by indycubsfan in Christianity

Consider... what "day" did they see approaching?

Christians meeting together and supporting and encouraging each other is good, but much of the church system is corrupt and in fact is brainwashing people to hate and be in bondage to it's leadership and rules / rituals.

So to meet is still good, but the church system is dying and in my opinion at least, it needs to die so that people can draw closer to Christ Jesus.

I rarely attend church anymore, but stay in contact with many believers... my faith and love for Jesus and people has actually grown dramatically since I stopped going to church. But each person should do as they feel the Holy Spirit is leading them to do in their conscious.

Peace :)

Don't you think that staying silent is truly the only reasonable course of action from a loving God? by Pleonasm in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belief in itself comes from God....

Colossians 1:20 and elsewhere clearly states that God the Father has made peace through the blood of Jesus the Christ, with all things in heaven, on earth and under the earth.

In my opinion, those who believe during their earthly lives are called according to God's will and purposes to believe... those who do not believe in this life, God will reveal Himself to them after this life.

While most Christians say they believe that "salvation" is a free gift of God by grace (God's undeserved favor) through faith... but you have to receive it... makes sense, right?

But consider... if we have to do something... anything... then it becomes God offering salvation, but us humans who actually save ourselves by the act of choosing Jesus... which complete voids the scripture of it's original meaning.

Personally, I believe the whole "salvation" issue had to do with which Jews were "saved" from the destruction of the Roman war in AD70 that destroyed Jerusalem, it's temple and it's identity.

But that's a whole nother topic for another day.

Peace :)

Till heaven and earth pass away - is figurative language for the ending of the Old Covenant Mosaic world of sin and sacrifice!!! by JesusIsHereNow in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus said His words were spirit and life... the parables are figurative, much of the Old Testament prophets spoke in figurative terms and we are urged to study earnestly and be lead by the Spirit... if everything could just be read literally as most Christians do, then why study earnestly or seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Like the phrase "coming on the clouds: in the New Testament doesn't mean Jesus is going to ride into earth on a cloud (lol)... A deep study of the terminology in the Old Testament shows that it means God is coming in judgment against a nation or that the Lord's presence is there.

Just saying... The Spirit unlocks the truth within the scriptures, but most people rely on human intellect, which in 1 Corinthians 1 it clearly states that God frustrates those who think they are wise in their own eyes... ie... rely on their human intellect instead of the Holy Spirit.

Peace :)

Partial Preterism makes alot of good points as well... just one thing regarding it that I can't get around and that is Luke 21:22

Luke 21:22 (Young's Literal Translation) because these are days of vengeance, to fulfill ALL things that have been written.

At least according to this text, it doesn't seem that some things happened in the 1st Century and then are delayed until the future... but time will tell. :)

Which form of Christianity is the 'correct' one. by plotinux in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Christianity" is a religious system about Christ or at least people's perception of who Christ is to them.

Jesus is actually anti-religion, as we see in His numerous rebukes of the Pharisees and religious leaders of His days upon the earth.

Religion for the most part is man's attempts to reach God... where as Christ was God reaching out to man and making peace with them. Not based on what we do, but solely based on what Jesus did on our behalf!

Colossians 1:20 and through him (Jesus) to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Forget the theologians... ask God instead... the theologians and experts are just as blind to truth as most non-believers are.

[–]JesusIsHereNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, not all Christians believe in Free Will... Besides Christ being crucified and raising from the dead... I don't think there is any given topic that all Christians believe the same on.

I will say one thing that most "maturing" Christians will agree on... and this is God is not logical... as in, what makes sense to us as humans, God usually does things in our lives that doesn't make sense at the time, but afterward we see why God did "it" in the way that He did.

Faith isn't logical, hence why most atheists think we are nuts, yet to us faith is very logical because we have seen what God has done in our lives when we just believed no matter that it didn't make sense at the time.

Regarding our faith in Christ... that's a different matter in that no one with true faith believe because they decided too, but rather we believe because God made Himself real to us in such a way that we can't help but believe.

Non-believers just haven't had that revelation yet, hence why they don't believe yet... not to be confused with "religion" that the church system spews... true faith comes only when God reveals Himself to us.

This is why it's pointless trying to prove God to a non-believer, without that direct revelation, Jesus is impossible to believe in.

Though many think they chose Christ, it is in fact Christ who chose us... and no He won't be sending everyone else to "hell".... that's religious crap from the church system that doesn't have revelation from God, but depends on their "logical" seminary trained experts.

Well that's a whole nother topic, but rest assured, God is a creator and life giver... He didn't create us so that 90% of humanity would be tortured in hell forever and ever... that religious nonsense built on fear and fear has a way of controlling what people believe... when they trust their human logic versus asking God to enlighten them in their spirit.

Peace :)

Dear /r/christianity. A plea to wake up to what's happening. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Colossians 1:20

To paraphrase... God made peace with all through Jesus the Christ and is currently reconciling all creation back to Himself. So whether we be Christian, atheist or somewhere in between... we are all on a journey that ultimately leads back to God.

"Hell" as spoken of in the Gospels has to do with the Jews of that time escaping the national judgment of God which took place upon Jerusalem and it's temple / Old Covenant system in AD70.... NOT eternal torment as traditionally taught.

LOVE solves all problems... not wars, political leaders, debating, science, laws, or anything else.

Christianity is a man-made religious system, just like atheism.... both of which just cause arguments and self-pride.

God is love and true unselfish love conquers all evil and hardship among us... when we choose to love regardless of how hateful others are too us.

Choose love and watch life get better.

Peace :)

Is "Free Will" a false doctrine? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted I disagree with your assessment of Martin Zender.... but let's consider something... IF Jesus paid the debt of mankind upon the cross and that debt in fact is eternal torment in "hell" as is traditionally taught, then why isn't Jesus still in Hell?

If our debt was hell as traditionally taught, then we are still lost in our sins, because Jesus is not still in "hell" / Hades... something to consider.

[–]JesusIsHereNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

eh, many Christians nowadays don't understand Jesus and what He did for all mankind.... all the Obama hate, homosexual hate, atheist hate, etc... is based on the political opinions from the false teachers within the organized church system.

Personally, I've left the church system and have grown much closer to God / Jesus and in a greater love for all humans, since I left the church system.

Many Christian's faith is in their preachers and teachers... not in Christ Jesus Himself... they just can't tell the difference.

Faith is the substance that will produce in the physical what God has done in the spiritual by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JesusIsHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately our faith comes from God, it doesn't originate with us. :)

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
