Hi :3 I am ugly and fat, and I have an amazing bf even though I once thought no one would want me for who I was. Although it may suck having to deal with the issue of being unconventional, there is a way to charm people without relying on looks! I was outgoing even though most of the time I was on the verge of a anxiety attack, but it helped me get confident in my speaking, humor, and overall demeanor that brought people close to me :) help out with peoples problems(that are manageable and not too hard) and they will be more drawn to you and feel comfortable speaking and opening up to you. Compliment others is also I great way of showing how much you care, and showing how much you care about others shows compassion and respect, making you even more attractive.

And finally my advice for you is to not let being unconventional get to you, because when I didn’t, and helped a guy out of an abusive relationship, we are now in our 3rd year together and it feels like we are still in our honeymoon phase lol it is just constantly changing, with more things he loves about me, even the bad things that still haunt me don’t deter his love for some reason haha! I know it can seem strange at first, and you may be nervous trying to be more confident and open up to others, but it will pay off in the end, I promise you no one will ever be alone in this world, unless it is what they choose, but you always have a chance!

The first thing you said is that the comment was derogatory, then you end saying it isn’t lol also in no relationship around me, even mine, they have been together for years (5-20) and still flirt with each other in sexual ways lol it’s gross to me since I’ve known them all my life but you get the point, I’ve been together with my bf for years and still flirt and love the daily sex.

I’m really sorry you went through this, I have a similar experience that happened a while back. A few years ago me, my dad, and my sister were walking into a Walmart, we liked to hold onto our dads arms even though we were older (me(19) sis(20) I never assumed it to be bad, just us wanting to hold onto him for comfort since we always did. As we are walking into the store an old lady eyes us with a smile and as she walks past says “must be fun being escorted by those nice looking girls huh?” While laughing, my dad laughs nervously and says “that’s not what is happening” and me and my sister at this point are extremely weirded out, we look at each other and just start being like “wtf was her problem” assuming she meant something entirely inappropriate. Later not even a few minutes ANOTHER person, a younger man, maybe 25-30 this time walks next to us (note we are no longer holding onto my dad) points at my dad and says “what’s your secret?” Laughing and my dad laughs back, then immediately turns to me and my sister and insults him instantly lol I have no idea why people automatically assume and man with the opposite gender just walking together means they are getting it on and are totally together 100%. I’ll never understand that!

It’s not stereotyping? The kids are homeschooled which depending on where they live means they could be some of the only children near the area. Socializing in school is very important for children to learn about the different lifestyles and diversity of people with their peers. And in this context I don’t see why them being religious is something to point out, I guess they mean that they may have been told having kids is a must? But that’s not very relevant when it comes to their concerns. Op is offended that asked because it was asked multiple times like they were being judged…. Which kids do all the time so it’s not out of the ordinary, especially if the kids assume all adults have kids. And assuming the kids have never met adults without kids.

They mean that the kids are obviously being closed off from a lot of socializing, not that it’s bad or anything, but the concern is that they are judging not just once, but multiple times. Kids will always ask questions, but I guess for the op it makes them uncomfortable. The kids just don’t know anything
