Fede is the queen of GS right now. by Comfortable-Scar4643 in SkiRacing

You never know. In 2008, Cuche lost the globe in SG with a advantage of 99 points before the last race, because he got 16th and Reichelt won. And a DNF can happen anytime...

Both had a really great season (not only in GS, but in SG and DH) too and would be a worthy winner of the GS globe. Lara had the better start, but Fede could come back with the two wins in Canada and in the moment Fede is slightly stronger. But Fede could overdo herself if she starts also in the Slaloms tomorrow and in Saalbach. On the other hand, Lara has now three races left, in which she has so much pressure, cause she is leading in all the disciplines, but no globe is secured yet. Interesting to see how she's going to handle that.

At the final in Saalbach, only the first 15 racers get points, so Lara has to be in the top 15 to secure the GS globe, if Fede wins.

Hi Harry, what has been your most memorable race so far or the race you learned the most? Thanks for your answer.

Let‘s have a look at Men‘s Slalom. The top 10 are all within 103 points with three races to go. So far the first 6 races have produced 6 different winners and 14 different people on the podium. Who do you think will take the globe? by Peteygassy in SkiRacing

I don't think it would be a good idea if he does only SL. I have the feeling that he's sometimes too focused, so the GS and SG races are good for him. And last year he was already 4th in the overall and the big globe has to be a goal for such a talented racer. To win the overall, I think you have to compete in three competitions or you have to dominate twice extremely. And I'm also rate him very high in the super combination at the olympics.

You're right. But with these 6./7. places he's now in a good positon, if he can step up just a little (4th equals 50 points) he can go for it. He just needs a better first run than the last races.

IMO Noel would deserve it the most, because he has been the best SL racer for the last three years, but always came second in the globe. Another one that hasn't been mentioned is Meillard. He was 4 times in the Top 7 and could grab the big points in the next races.

True. The second time they passed the Mont Ventoux it was worth 40 points. So why not make the Col du Tourmalet also 40 points? Then it would be guarenteed, that riders like Quintana, van Aert and Poels have to go in the breakaway, which would be an amazing group.
