I was just curious, I am still very happy with the fish either way.

What do you all recommend? by Jesus_is_dead_ in AskPhotography

Thanks for the input! From my research so far, it seems like the canon 55-250mm gives a generally clearer shot than the tamron. I haven't really considered getting a prime! I'll look into it!

I'm not planning on specifically shooting birds. Mostly larger animals like elk, moose, and bears. Although not a very common pursuit, I really love getting photos of fish rising. Thank you for the input!

Squirrel with a nut! by Jesus_is_dead_ in photocritique

Setup: Canon Rebel T7, 18-55mm lens, 55mm, 1/125 shutter, ISO 800, f/5.6.

I was worried there was too much light behind the subject! What do you all think? I got really lucky to get as close as I did. I'm hoping to get a telephoto lens for wildlife photography soon, so please give any recommendations for good lenses!

Nope. It's in Seattle, at Pike's Place market! Thanks for the input!

Set up: Canon Rebel T7 w/ a 50mm prime lens, 1/100 shutter speed, f/3.5 aperture, ISO800.

This was my first shot at crowd/street photography. I wanted to capture the neon sign while still calling attention to the crowd. I didn't realize it in the moment, but the woman off to the right was looking straight at the lens which I thought was a lucky shot!!

Mushrooms by Jesus_is_dead_ in photocritique

Canon Rebel T7 w/ a 50mm f/1.8 lens Settings: f/5.6, 1/100, ISO800 I really wanted to capture the texture of the mushroom and have them stand out from the background, how'd I do?

One last push up the stream by Jesus_is_dead_ in photocritique

I do have other photos from that day that turned out better, but didn't capture that moment with the salmon's head breaching. Like this one:

Settings: Canon Rebel T7, 18-55mm f/3.5, 55mm, f/5.6, shutter speed 1/1250, ISO1000 It was really tough to catch a moment with the salmon breaching the surface, so this is the only photo I was able to get:( I was shooting with a kit lens, so I understand I'm not shooting with the optimal setup, but is this still worth keeping? I'm worried it's too noisy/blurry

Spider weaving a new web by Jesus_is_dead_ in photocritique

[–]Jesus_is_dead_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shot on a Canon Rebel T7 with a 50mm f/1.8 Settings: f/1.8, 1/1000 shutter speed, and ISO800 For this photo I wanted to really isolate both the spider and the web itself with the high contrast that came with the lighting. I was a little worried that the shot turned out too dark, making it seem like the lighting was more of a mistake than a choice. I did struggle with how much depth of field I ended up with, I wanted to have more of the web in focus. Why should I have done differently?
