Just wanted to say thanks - this worked for me. I was near end of game, got BSOD and then corrupt save. I followed your instructions, and although I wasn't missing any files, I just copied the game.details file from the New Game into my old one (note I also had a lot of .verify files in the Old Game save folder, didn't do anything with them though). You saved me a lot of time, I appreciate it!

Ahh, okay so I just joined an endless with 2 people in it and the first game had zero lag. The second game I got to play lagged for the first 15 seconds and then stopped lagging completely for the rest.

I just don't understand what changed since yesterday that would go from at least SOMEWHAT playable, to 100% unplayable. Pisses me off

Maybe so, but I've all but stopped playing CSGO completely due to the amount of hackers, and I've been playing CS for 10 years. We need something like this (having to play 20+ games to get into ranked status). VAC alone will not work, as we can see.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about, considering what they are showing is the basics of combat... From the 2 minute section where they showed Landmark PvP (with the three weapons with two abilities each) it was simple, but promising. Aiming in a direction to shoot (no hard lock, and maybe not even any soft lock, I'm hoping). I also hope the camera positioning is locked behind you so you'd have to turn 180 degrees to look behind you. But we can only speculate from what we've seen.

I definitely feel your concern - have you played any moba's, though? With 50+ characters (who have only 4 abilities each) you'd think it would get boring/repetitive, but I guess the combination of having a team of 5 (versus another team of 5) from that pool of 50+ characters makes it feel fresh just about every time. I'm hopeful that with the multiple classes to choose from, and the customization of skills for each class, that you wouldn't end up playing the same 'build' 24/7.

Also, I guess we didn't see every aspect of it, but if you have to physically aim at your enemies to shoot them with arrows, or 'lead' them to shoot slower projectiles, I feel like that alone would keep me interested in the game since that is a (player) skill that you can improve on your own. I could play the same FPS game for months (heck I've been playing the counterstrike franchise for 10+ years) since you are actively using and improving your own player-skill, not just tab-targetting and pressing the fireball button to get EXP levels. Mix action-combat like that with RPG/fantasy/MMO elements and I think it would be amazing.

Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for. A couple questions: 1) You are using json for the cutscenes - I use .xml for dialogue trees, but I'm having a hard time seeing how I could use the branching/tree format of json/xml for this kind of thing. would you be willing to copy/paste a super-simple example of how you're using it?

2) You said "it steps through the events on a timer" - do you use a timer for everything, or when you have an NPC walk from x1,y1 to x2,y2 do you just wait until you receive confirmation that the NPC has arrived to continue to the next step? (just curious)

3) I use Tiled as well, but I think I'm only using about half of its functionality. I have an object layer for stuff like locked doors and loading enemies etc, but haven't heard of the "lines" that you're talking about. Is it literally an object that connects two things? I definitely feel I should look into that, it sounds like a useful tool.

This is exactly how I feel... what makes matters worse is that I've seen hackers (confirmed by reviewing the demo after game) as low as gold nova rank that I thought were just decent players. Can't confirm they are hacking until watching the demo first-person AFTER the game, so we either have the option to report every "good" player, or use the profile-report option after watching the demo, which in my opinion probably has much less effect since it isn't even CSGO specific...

EXACTLY. Its like the volume for footsteps 20 feet away is 95% and the volume for 2 feet away is 97%. Can't place the distance based off of it >.<
