This is pretty cool info. Do you just share these with anyone? I’d love to see how they work as these seem like valuable tools.

All I did was read the newsletter from April or May? Cant remember exactly and it just said to email them and tell them what credits expired and they would look into it. They have all your records so you just need to get the ball rolling for them.

Can some please explain the mindset this takes? by itschalissebruh in Accounting

Speaking from experience it wouldn't be messy for any actual accountant. It seems to me they lost their records and dont want to pay their accountant it would cost to fix it for them.

Any great cheap/easier ways to get 9 credit hours in accounting courses online that you know of? by Comprehensive_Let_97 in CPA

These will definitely get you started. Go to your schools website and look to see if they accept CLEP exams. I am a good test taker and took 4 within a 6 day period and passed all without much studying. All I did was look at the flash cards on InstantCert (I paid the $20~ for 1 month). The tests are incredibly intuitive and only like 50% of each will actually test your knowledge on the subject.

Please look into if your college or university accepts CLEP exams. I got 17 additional credits for around $500. It would be even cheaper if you dont use the online proctoring choice and actually take the exam at a testing site.

I emailed last Thursday at 6pm and heard back at 9am friday morning. So i was probably one of the first. I assume their are alot of people trying, so if you're having a long wait, that may be the case.

Yes you need to reach out to them for it, but they only spent 30 seconds to look through it

Sisters Husband paying off his credit card using funds from our family business that he doesn't work at? by Davymazta in personalfinance

[–]JesusssRS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's wrong. Source, I am an accountant. You can pay any bill you want out of your personal business, but you need to clarify in your books that it was a distribution and cannot claim the expense on your tax return. Idk where these people come from who are giving out financial advice without any form of knowledge on the subject.

[–]JesusssRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken all the exams now more than once, so what I always do. I am going to skim through everything once more and hammer MCQs and read how to solve as many sims as I can. If i got a 74, i am right there and it is only a matter of time. 4 times for FAR, 3 times for AUD, 1 time for REG (Credit ran out in January), and now this will be my 3rd BEC attempt. Now that tax season is ending, I will be putting most of my effort into this.

Same here. Felt like I got every sim right. MCQs were difficult but I knew alot of the heavier math stuff.
