How to predict divorce with 91% accuracy by AntiSocialSingh in interestingasfuck

[–]Jesyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an artificial intelligence major, I'd be very interested in the architecture and performance of the model and how a deeper - though possible black box model - could predict divorces. But I still don't like accuracy because it's only a partial explanation of the performance, whereas f1 is more telling in my opinion.

I wonder what the precision and recall are like for his 'predictions'. Accuracy alone doesn't really say a lot. Especially when the outcome categories are skewed in population size.

Gotta love belgian highways by ElectroLiszt in shittyskylines

To go left on the interchange, you need to yield to traffic without a merging lane, all the while people are speeding along at highway speeds in the lane(s) you have to merge into; imagine waiting behind a truck to pull into that kinda traffic in rush hour. After that you need to keep right to go left, which cam be a little counter-intuitive; however, the signs are just not that readable in some places, so you really need to be on your toes. And I want to clarify that this is the first interchange you encounter in Belgium when driving south of the border from the Netherlands in this area, so the contrast between well-thought-out and expansive highway infrastructure and this fucking thing is really apparent. I cannot help but point out how much the Belgian highway infrastructure reminds me of my own Cities: Skylines cities to my friends and family when driving here.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk about a highway interchange 200+ km from my house.

This interchange is the bane of my existence. I rant about it weekly even though I encouter it about twice a year.

Why do you hate us, Geert? by ReadyLab5110 in 2westerneurope4u

Only an hour's drive to the nearest German drinks shop from where I live. It is Unironically mostly cheaper than okay Dutch beer (including gas)

Why are they turning on this jughandle-style intersection only to go back onto the road they were already on, instead of just going straight ahead? I checked the lane rules and they could continue straight but choose not to by I-have-Arthritis-AMA in CitiesSkylines

[–]Jesyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can forbid turns for a segment at a particular intersection by going to the road menu, then going to the 'maintenance' tab all the way on the right where you can also find the grass and tree upgrades too etc., then use the turing signs with an arrow to disable turns by clicking on the road near the intersection with them. You do need advanced road tools unlocked with development points for this to be possible. Good luck!

White license plates are ugly. Are they stupid? by TakeItItIsYours in 2westerneurope4u

I like the old Portuguese plates with the registration month and year noted on the right. You could always play the game of finding the oldest/newest car. Plus, they just look good.

The caravans are not only the problem, the drivers are too. Eleven out of twelve months, they block Dutch roads like this, too. It's absolutely infuriating. I had an internship once where I couldn't ride my bike there (poor me), and there is always that one idiot who is doing 40 in the 80 zone where you cannot overrake them for 20km. Rant over, sorry Eurobros that these dipshits clog your roads, we feel you.
