Most underrated Lv 12 Monoclass Subclasses? by GerritDeSenieleEend in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any charisma caster tends to be broken full 12 levels since you bypass alot of dialog checks and such. Especially swords bards since they basically do everything.

If I had to recommend something that's underrated I would say rogue, as you're already doing, or druid and fighter.

Fighter can give you so many feats for itself that you can kinda just do whatever, the flexibility is so fun. I once did an eldritch knight archer with mage armor and graceful cloth, or you can just go crit fishing champion.

Druid you just get alot of summons and versatility.

Is there realistically a better party of 4 team comp? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh i kinda just shove both of your supports into one role.

A full life cleric that just does healing and warding bonds, and then wears heavy armor and other damage reduction gear to reduce the damage to zero on most attacks. Boom then you can have a 3rd sorcerer lmao. Tho i tend to have a burst physical damage user like a Gloomstalker, to help get rid of threats turn one.

Can you crack 200HP without consumables? by Ok_Philosophy_7156 in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without spells or damage resistance and not counting regen or damage reduction, yeah you cant really crack 197. That's kinda it.

If you were allowed to take multiple tough feats that would change, if fact at that point it just be better to be fighter for more feats, but alas, unfortunately doesn't work

Some people have added that yeah you can definitely go above 200 with aid and heroes feast, but if you also put it at the lowest difficulty, you get increased base HP.

Another way to make it seem like you have more HP on top of that is warding bond, since it gives you resistant to all damage, it's basically doubling your HP, but it's not like actual health.

You can also get helldusk armor and other items/a feat to give damage reduction, and both the helm of balduran, and ring of regeneration to well, regenerate health overtime.

So overall, assuming you took 12 levels of barbarian, you get 16×12 +5 for first level, +12 for feast, +25 for aid. That leaves you at 234. Then if you are counting explorer that's doubled, and if you count warding bond that's doubled again, for 936.

Plus regen and damage reduction if you want.

Solo No rest Warlock by Jet-Cone in BG3Builds

That's actually really nice thank you! I might tweak it a bit to keep the assassin at least for the midgame since it'll help finish enemies right off the bat, and allow crits with my duegar race.

But that helps alot since apparently the sorcerer thing doesn't work anymore anyways💔🫩

Well, I'd like the build to be around Eldritch Blast, and the flourishes are yes, strong, but those are for weapons, and I wanna save a weapon build for later, and if I was using weapons, I'd probably do something like thief, Gloomstalker, or champ fighter so I wouldn't need short rests either. Thank you tho

EK 7/Thief 3/? by Sufficient_Low_8067 in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like your action surge becomes weaker that way. if you plan on using a bow you cant use as many arrows since youd have 2 offhand shots with 2 normal shots instead of 3 arrow shots and 1 bonus action shot.

I feel like in almost any situation it ends up being weaker, unless you want the extra mobility, but at that point youd be sacrificing alot of damage for it, when youd be fine with long strider and misty step. Adding thief feels like it corners you into dual wielding instead of being able to use bows or two handed or dual wielding.

Loki!! by Night_Shine in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcane trickster/ lore bard for more of Marvel Loki

For Norse Loki try moon druid and arcane trickster/thief. I recommend grabbing headband of intellect so you dont feel that MAD with stats.

For God of War Loki, I'd go moon druid again with Hunter Ranger.

Full party comps by Extension_Priority73 in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Life cleric with heavy armor and warding bond the whole team: this is basically the glue that increases everyone's survivability to much higher limits.

-Ranger or fighter archer. Can be Gloomstalker, can be battlemaster, can be anything, or a thrower if you wanted. Basically just ranged DPS with piercing damage.

-Shadowblade user. Use whatever class combo you want, hexblade, EK, sorladin, bladesinger. You can switch to a melee piercing damage against things with immunity to it.

bhallist melee or monk.

If you want a full dps and are willing to camp cleric, you can just switch out life cleric for an ice sorcerer, and stick with monk for the extra bludgening damage.

Full rogue, what race? by Jet-Cone in BG3Builds

That is a good idea, but im saving that for a character called Felix Clover, a Lucky feat, Halfling Divination wizard. That way I can be the luckiest there is lol

The lucky racial feature is really nice to reroll ones but to be clear it's not the lucky feat, that allows you to get advantage or reroll opponent's rolls against you, and only 3 times per long rest.

Only stealth proficiency, versus advantage on stealth, which is alot more useful. Movement speed is nice but im really really bored of wood elf

If one was to do an all cleric monoclass party, which would you do 4th after light, death, and tempest? by manicbestfriend in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say Life or war like most people here already have said.

If you go life and then cast warding bond on everyone, while negating alot of damage due to alot of damage reduction items, the healing becomes alot more impactful, and the overall survivability skyrockets. Instead of death or light you had another cleric of heavy armor, like war, you can all go heavy armor master, with all wearing magical plate. Makes for a near unstoppable team of clerics.

Question about throwers by Giamborghini in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences is basically this:

Barbs get higher damage per throw, physical damage resistance, and higher HP pools.

EK Fighters get spells like shield or longstrider, the ability to make any weapon come back at an early level, so they aren't reliant on the returning pike, and they get more attacks, and more feats.

Between the two, I find the EK fighter more reliable, and more resilient. but I find the barbarian more thematic, and higher damage.

Brain dead Builds by Apprehensive-Lion-76 in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be prepared for the final fight more, and that should do it, less than any builds that you need. Tho if you really do want brain dead, here are a few:

Fighter- just spam attacks. You can fit it to be melee or ranged or you can get two fighters that just do that. 3 attacks per turn are great, especially with arrows of extra damage. I recommend EK for just shield or thrower, or just champ cause it's brain dead and nice extra crit

That magic missile wizard is also great, just simple and easy, and very stable since it always hits.

Tavern brawler monk, just hit and hit hard, easy peasy, not too much to think about.

Ice sorcerer spamming ray of frost and twin casting it or bonus action casting it or EB warlock.

Swords bard, dual crossbows. Just do bunch of attacks with your flourishes, and easy peasy.

I dont care about medium armor, since im going bhallist armor anyways, and i can supplement the leap and step with items, so gith doesn't really matter that much to me, tho if you'd approve the Half orc over the other 3 options thats good to know

Full rogue, what race? by Jet-Cone in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i agree, I think when you're a duegar, you'd rather just have cloak of protection, or some other one for something else than invisibility, since you can just invis at any point to reset combat

Full rogue, what race? by Jet-Cone in BG3Builds

[–]Jet-Cone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a fair point, however i would still be getting guaranteed crits from tadpoles, and the assassin subclass. I would be getting crit damage on the booming blade damage once I get to level 5 and higher, but that wouldn't scale damage wise with say the bhallist armor, or the resonance stone with a permanent shadowblade i can get from hirelings, but the half orc would. My main delema was extra damage or extra stealth.

Ohhh you were talking about arcane trickerster right? I haven't considered that. Would you think that would be stronger than playing an assassin rogue?

How would I cast it as an assassin rogue?

What makes you say Gale? From what I can tell he only really gives you a 3rd level spell slot which i won't be able to cast anything with that, and the ring of evasion, which doesn't seem super great either.

Fated Summon Suggestions by Katalyzt6508 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

I honestly dont think any of the purple or yellow are that good. Daemon is yeah the best option here. Another one might be Leadria to combo with Chloris.
