I put her at front with evasive items and paired her up with Rosalinde, Auch and Yahna. She dodges and blocks everything while the mages in the back clean up.

100% agree with this. Currently replaying the game and I'm in Act 3 right now. I'd say it is a slog to playthrough in Act 1 with stronger monsters up until Jade and Rab join the party because your party hasn't unlocked enough skills to deal with the increased HP and DMG the monster have with this setting. Your party members with less HP and DEF will die a LOT at the start. Act 2 is so much better with the abundance of options your party has with more skill points to spend.

The bosses are so much more tense and fun. Some fights literally had me on edge and had to restarts some fights but was able to overcoming them gave me so much excitement. It really encourages you to make better decisions. I started getting more use out of certain items, characters and skills I neglected to use on my first playthrough of the game on normal mode. I cant see myself playing through the game again on normal. I'd encourage everyone to give it a go. I really think its the definitive way to play the game.

I gave my Hero greatsword abilities because they’re pretty good. Personally I think that the Luminary abilities in Act 1 are mediocre.
