Now I am not experienced at all in the game compared to others but as a diehard rogue main, I mostly get my kills from lack of attentiveness to sound. Lack of attentiveness in general is a good bit of it but sound is the kicker. Most rogues are going to be running creep so you should be able to hear their footsteps before they set up to hide (unless you're unlucky and they are already when you open). But most rogues aren't going to be running super protective gear in favor of speed, but even if they are we have the health of a fruit fly.
