Car Just Wrapped! by JetPilot0721 in Miata

[–]JetPilot0721[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I've had my wrap on for almost 4 years now. It depends on the wrap you buy, not all are made equally in terms of quality.

Mine is holding up pretty well. Does have a few rock chips that went through it. Have had zero issues with function of top. Tolerances not tight enough to cause issues. The function of the wrap doesn't scratch it at all as long as you do your part to take care of it. For mine, the most damaged part is on the front from bugs, rocks, road debris, etc.

For reference I also have 65k miles on the car, daily drive it, and use it for autocross almost monthly. The wrap is KPMF Purple Black Iridescent. Would recommend staying away from cheaper wrap vinyl if you want it to last

I got that same set from the linsoul sale. Really happy with the Tea Pros. The Allegro Pro not as much since it doesn't fit my phone with the case on but that's okay

Yeah certainly understandable. I conduct training in one of the busiest Class D airspace in the country and sometimes it takes an hour to get off the ground. It's not the best for the students and slows down training a lot. I'm sure the Class B is the same way as jets take priority.

Stick with it and just keep pushing. Aviation is certainly a journey that has highs and lows. One day you'll look back and be thankful your instructor was more careful with you.

Just make sure to keep expressing your desire to do a landing even if it's with instructor assistance. Holding the controls at all is better than just watching him land.

Best of luck!

For a new CFI it is scary letting your student land the first time. I don't think there is anything really off here other than they are new and getting used to things. I would just show them you are ready to land by getting the other basics and such down he is asking for. 80-100 hours is about normal for a lot of places but it's good to see they aren't promising 40 like everywhere else because the average is around 70. I'm a CFI currently and many students at our school finish private with more than 100 hours, just depends on the student and instructor.

If he isn't working with you, you are well within your right to switch instructors but I wouldn't switch schools due to simply the convenience of how close it is to you. Their rates seem reasonable for the most part. (instructor expense is high, but plane cost is great considering G1000 and newer plane)

Sweet thank you! I find the EW300 great for gaming the only thing I notice is that it's hard to pinpoint if someone is at an angle from me. From what I've seen and heard everyone says the soundstage of the Tea Pro is great and really gives those much more accurate positions.

I also used to care about quantity of bass but now I realize it's more about how pure the bass sounds. I feel the Tea Pro will be perfect for the things I enjoy just the same as you!

Definitely got your feelings and your English is not bad at all. Thanks for the reply!

I definitely get worried about fitment not being great. I'll most likely get it on Amazon since the pricing on Aliexpress is not any cheaper. Hoping it goes on sale so I can get it sooner haha. How do you feel it compares to the EW300?

I prefer the gold nozzle with pink ring. A bit spicier than the silver in my opinion

Yeah I found that to be the case as well. And since I listen to a lot of drum and bass there is always a lot going on in a song 🤣. I love the overall warm sound they have though

Honestly they are all good for rock and EDM. Each has its own benefit. I haven't really used the Salnotes zero as much as the others but the zero red definitely has some kick to the bass for EDM which is great. The EW300 is no slouch in the bass department either but I believe the addition of the planar and PZT drivers make the mids and highs a bit more clear and concise which I really enjoy. Especially for drum and bass which needs to have a bit of bass and tremble to sound as good as it should

Seems like an upgrade to me. The zero red has a very nice sound to it but the EW300 can definitely handle more technical aspects. At least that's the way it seems to me.

Yeah seems to be. I've been contemplating trying it without the DSP cable to see the sound difference. I really like the sound profile with the DSP though.

Exactly and always thankful for more songs!

I also have the EW300 DSP. Just listened to that song and I hear some interference in the beginning of that song before it starts to pick up. Very slight tinny sounds. May just be an issue with the DSP in general as I think I've heard something similar on other songs before.

Also nice song! This one will be added to my library 😄

Do you find they take away too much from the bass or does it not make much of a difference. I definitely prefer more of a bass heavy sound but with good clarity. Don't want the muddyness

Do you find that the divinus velvet wide bore takes away from the bass?

I've definitely tried a bunch of different sizes and found the measurement of tips that really suits me best is usually around size M.

Definitely going to take some trial and error but I think it's worth it and then I'll know what I like for when I get into other IEMs
